  1. This post is pure fact. As long as you're making a living off (or making a decent amount of money from) playing and commenting on video games on the internet you're in no position to complain about anything. So shush.
  2. He's well known for crying foul if anyone but him is getting money. There's a video of him almost in tears and throwing money at the screen telling YouTube to take his money. Fuck him.
  3. Dark Souls 2 wasn't that buggy to begin with, you should be safe.
  4. I hadn't even played the DLC, which was why I wanted to pick up the remaster, Bloodborne has ruined that plan sadly.
  5. It has the best co-op/PvP out of all of them, but it still pales in comparison location wise, and enemy wise. Vendrick was pretty cool, though. Looking Glass Knight as well. Just my 2 cents.
  6. How many hours did it end up taking you? not really sure, about 40-50~? i missed a lot of extra stuff and didn't do a lot with the chalices, saving that for the next playthrough/NG+. I really wish consoles didn't exist so I wouldn't be deprived of playing games I want to play because exclusives exist. Better yet, I wish I didn't feel a little compelled to spend $500 because I'm forced to if I want to enjoy 1 game. The game looks amazing though. I never played the Dark Souls games, but I play Lords of the Fallen to sate my desire for this style game. It's not nearly as awesome as these games seem to be. The shear variation of mobs is amazing. Lords of the Fallen pales in comparison to that. Also, the character design is so well done. It reminds me of a really fucked up Hayao Miyazaki or something. I love the way they used particle effects and how they designed the flowing elements of certain bosses. The sound design on some of the bosses like that one that screams. Damn, it's good. I guess I should pick up Dark Souls, but I'm kind of being a bitch about it. One of my only criticisms of these types of games is that you can break them if you find the right combination of gear. Once they get too easy it becomes less fun for me. Also, that spider is so nasty... Get Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin so you get all the DLC. Dark Souls II is really good, especially when coupled with the DLC that fleshes out the story a bit more. I disagree, I say go in the deep end with Dark Souls, then you'll see how easy Dark Souls II is. Whilst you're at it, play Demons Souls too, but the mechanics are way more clunky than the games succeeding it. Make sure to get it with the dlc, because it's great (but really, really hard).
  7. I'm reading this as a bitter stab at Dark Souls 2 It was Dark Souls 2 was fine, but it's generic compared to the originals and Bloodborne for that matter.
  8. The "narrative" is outstanding, the world just keeps unfolding as you progress (and as you gain more Insight). It's so good that the limitations compared to the original Souls games doesn't even matter because Bloodborne's world is so much better, this is the most fun I've ever had in a Souls* game. *regarding it being lead by the same director
  9. You can unlock items to buy from the Messengers as you progress, or you can find them as loot, or you can complete Chalice Dungeons. It's not as extensive as Demons Souls or Dark Souls I+II but it isn't its main focus, since you need to get stuck in most fights anyway. Edit: No idea why this isn't in my original post
  10. Bloodborne is 10 times the game Dark Souls II ever was. The world is so much better, it just sucks you in.
  11. So Bloodborne is amazing. Way more aggressive than its predecessors, but a little more forgiving. None of the bosses I've faced so far have been too much either, I still have nightmares involving Ornstein and Smough from Dark Souls.
  12. This. The taste of being triumphant is too great to ignore in that game, even if you die 39838439834 times to achieve it.
  13. Yeah it's getting neat reviews from both reviewers and players but I don't know. I hated every second of Dark Souls and this looks eerily familiar. Don't have a whole lot of money (and time outside of the weekends) for games these days either, so it's a lot of money to throw away on something I maybe won't be able to enjoy. Don't know why they don't just throw a dirty casual mode in there already. Wouldn't hurt anyone. Haven't played it yet, but for me the appeal it IS like the Souls games, but with some variations that make it sound refreshing and interesting. Honestly, if you didn't like any prior Souls games, I would try before you buy on Bloodborne. Damn it. I can't even get past the first area. If I don't make any progress soon, I'm going to stop buying From's games. It's a shame. I liked both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls despite their difficulty. I stopped playing them both because I was "afraid" to lose large amounts of souls and not be able to get back to the spot. It got to be too much. The penalty for death was too high. DS2 was just ridiculous with its death penalties that I didn't spend much time on it at all. I thought DS 2 was way more generous, but then I found it pretty easy compared to the first two games. It's a shame you're not enjoying it, the Souls series have always been rewarding regardless of deaths.
  14. Dark Souls 2 is the worst of the series, and it's still a good game if that means anything.
  15. It was buggy as hell when it first came out on Sony systems too.
  16. Was awesome even on the last gen consoles, still amazed as to how they pulled it off.
  17. Just spunked £100 on the PS Store thanks to their PS4 sale. Bought Infamous: SS, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, CounterSpy and The Golf Club. Oh, and Killzone Mercenary for the Vita. Killzone looks amazing for a Vita game.
  18. Nyehhhh, story wise, maybe. I liked the environment better in 3. Worth it when you do. I got both complete editions for my birthday, so when I get around to them, no one will hear from me again.
  19. In that case: Yay! Congrats, man! Keep up the good work! Me too, although I got really lucky with my upgrades.
  20. Binding of Isaac is slowly becoming one of my favourite titles this year, along with Rogue Legacy. Who knew indie titles would fare better than "AAA" games?
