No, didn't miss that.
Have you noticed I'm talking about actual numbers. Not projections or models?
Again though, the vaccination rate is an important underlying factor. The US is piss poor in that aspect. That potentially changes the whole dynamic. The vax rate in Europe is simply superior. I suspect that's an important part of the difference.
(Also in South Africa btw. Not just Europe)
This. Several European countries are reopening. The virus is more or less running free without a rise in hospitalization and "crashing health systems". The key is of course vaccination rate, where, in Norway, over 90% have two shots, almost 90% of the 40yrs + have three shots.

Afterlife s3. Still great.

Yep. This is good stuff!

We're facing Celtic. Any supporters on Watmm?

RIP Meat Loaf. I think the only song I've heard by him is "I would do anything for love". Is his first albums worth listening to?

What’s the best William Fields album?

Swapped some windows just now and got day-time streams from NY (currently 2.30 am), St Louis and Guatemala.

Bah. Don't you all just know how this is going to sound? Poor attempt of ambient soundscapes with echoes, crackles and distant chimpmunk samples?
OMG I was so right!

Succession s3. I had high expectations for it, but it's going downhill IMO. Several episodes were borderline boring, and the snappy comments and continous insults are growing old.

Nice to see people posting about geuze in this thread. In Norway it seems to be all about pastry stouts, pastry sours and sweeter and sweeter IPAs. I've been looking at those special geuzes from 3F, but they are expensive as hell and only available in big bottles over here. The standard 3F Oude Geuze is my go-to. I have a few Cantillons in my beer callar, but they are hard to get by.
I've been drinking myself through a lot of christmas beers as always. Over here it's traditionally dark lagers/bayer and bock, but nowadays everything is allowed. My favorite this christmas was To Øl: Yule M%&?!&k Bourbon & Vanilla BA (that's really the name). A massive 16,3% imp stout that lasted the whole night.

My guess: You didn’t listen to the whole thing?

This is one of many years without any studio album by the main 4 artists that make the WATMM forum (AE/AFX/BOC/SQ).
The last came in 2019, but 2017 was also a very difficult year for all of us.

Wow. That's the worst copycat since Tycho.

What high frequency sound are you guys referring to? I downloaded the flacs from bandcamp again and I can see the files are different (different size and bitrate), but I don't hear any difference. Maybe my ears are banjo-ed.
Same. I'm quite puzzled by this thread. I can hear som light "crackling" sounds in some of the tracks (not on Rausch), but these high frequency kicks should be on top of the beats somehow? I don't think I have any hearing damage, so perhaps I'm just getting old.

Great series! Haven't seen as much madness since The Lighthouse. And the music is great both as a soundtrack and an album.

Dunno, but @sidewinder has the right format. Confirmed and wishful thinking.

Is that outside London right now? Looks like a warm summer day.

We on a friggin idm forum and almost nobody dares to talk how awesome these albums are
Not even sure what this means. I just played the first part of Kick ii, and it's just not for me. I would really like an instrumental version of some of the tracks. I was a big fan of Xen and Mutant, but I prefer my electronic music without added latin electropop on top. Like "Tiro". I don't understand the lyrics, and Arcas own vocals are annoying as fuck. I see iiiii is listed as ambient/modern classical on RYM. I'll give that a spin.
I had high expectations after @@@@@ but i and ii is not my cup of tea.

Are there any tracks similar to early Arca? I'll be fine with anything without vocals.

Until now perhaps, but set for the rest of their lives? I still don't think so. It's hard to find sales numbers for their albums, but I doubt that they can live comfortably of album sales and streaming if they don't have some other income.

God dammit. It's not even 10pm over here, and I've been looking at burgers for the last ten minutes. Time to get this topic back on track!
