But what about this soundtrack? Can someone who doesn't hate him weigh in?
None of his stuff after Harmony in Ultraviolet did much for me, but I really like everything up to it.
The soundtrack does not work very well as a standalone album. My guess is that it's great as a soundtrack to the film.
For other recent output, I would recommend The North Water OST. Great soundtrack to a great TV series. I also enjoyed Konoyo, including the gagaku-flutes. My (not so) humble opinion is that he releases solid albums almost every time (not a big fan of Instrumental Tourist and Love Streams) and that people should stop taking a dump in threads of artist they don't appreciate.

Tim Hecker is also out with a new OST today. To the creepy looking Infinity Pool by Cronenberg Jr. Great atmosphere that makes me wanna see the movie, but not as strong as a stand alone album, like The North Water OST.

Amber. The first album I heard by AE, and I still remember that feeling of "this doesn't sound like ANYthing I've heard before".

Excellent new acquaintance for me. Dreamy slow core. For fans of Low and dreamhouse with a touch of trailer park.

Faithless’ Maxi Jazz died yesterday, 65 years old. Not a dedicated fan, but Insomnia was a monster hit when I was young, and is still a great track. Tonight I drink for you, Maxi.

Three jabs, and 1st round of covid this spring. Round 2 three weeks ago and it was pretty rough. A week in bed with a terrible cough and slight breathing problems. Hope I won't go through this twice a year.

Nice thread. Souvlaki is a 93-album btw. What I listened to in that actual period, that's still good.

Not to be rude, but I don't think she will cancel the divorce, and break up sex will probably be confusing and painful in your case. Try to get a better closure, will be my (married with children) advice.

Just found a new source for eternal bliss. Danish "øjeRum" is listed with 53(!) albums on RYM
I have no idea of the overall quality, but be sure to check out last years "Reversed Cathedral". He also released a split album with Scanner last friday.
