  1. ok thanks for this, obv i'll need to backtrack here later….. ta
  2. 1 no it would be hideous 2 i remember panasonics' bass caused our monitor to fall off the cabs and do some damage. pretty good night, rare BOC show esp. 3 didn't know it was 25yrs blimey 4 hadn't noticed that - could it just be the swing? 5 ok noted : ) usually books, really tasty books. i'll be getting him chocolates this season though, don't say anything
  3. Ace, you're right - When I googled 'Hans-Joachim Roedelius; Über berg und tal' it point to this which credits the track: u sure, i can't play this for some reason, but my copy sounds nothing like the track in the OP
  4. mbe if u have a time machine? or massively parallel setup? So I'm guessing the only way to do it is render down what you want and then bump it back in sync with the DAW. (or hopefully Doc Emmett Brown can invent a negative plugin delay compensation) ot: renoise has some sort of negative pdc ok i thought u said realtime.
  5. ouch this posts way too chunky =P 1 its 202 onboard sequence at shorter than measure length so i'm not sure its either, 2 well no not really, we made it so u could do all that instead of us. 3 more like they want endorsement, fair enough to some, cos they're really into what they're doing, and small business etc…. so using in public hopefully addresses any lost leads 4 yeah sometimes, we have some HW around, not because its vintage, because its what we have. i like the PSE spring mentioned earlier, and our 4track, its not all that old tbh 5 ages 6 yeah haha 7 yeah can't rem the last time tho' i think it was a swimming pool. 8 custom gear 9 that was manchester cathedral gig - not randomly hitting play tho' we all hit play at the same time. 10 i have sennheiser buds' for bedtime and walking 11 there must be shed loads…… 12 i think most ppl can tell whats what, its not a hassle, we have the real tracks. 13 no hint, we haven't told anyone what it means is all. you're super welcome
  6. hahha yeah we've probably spawned another multitude of competition now! good though, i mean we started making tracks mostly to tryout things that we could see others (mostly heroes and ace producers/artists) doing stuff that blows us away - but but then missing a bit. or whole takes on tracks that were never fulfilled by anyone
  7. yeah i thought so, well nail it no its not i checked all thru selbs... he's super close, really similar
  8. yeah thats nice. shivers rock :) we were in sheffield at the time, not sure what i can answer for u. i like the high ceiling room feel it has on the perc, and the 'crowding' building up from 1'30'. and the general steady mayhem building. + the hat/swing/downbeat. orm & cheep
  9. yeah I thought it was roedelius or cluster, I was asked earlier but i still can't find the name…...
  10. yeah i really hope so, i mean it'd be nice to keep a grip on all my faculties enough to still make stuff of any distinction. but yeah once I'm off, i won't know will i?
  11. I mean, a lot of people didn't like the track. Now's a good time to defend yourself! it was a good display of how well it can kick off in Europe at a electronic gig. the situation was full on intense, cos they were really pushing us, and we fully pushed back.
  12. it was a bit more separate how we each worked on this, plaid and us. we brought sequences and sounds and kit from our current autechre set at that time, adapting it and writing new stuff as the work we observed of the teams and participants rehearsed during the day. on the night we performed continuously building while the performers and the movements/chapters/parts played out - using larger shifts at key points of the directors timeline. it was nice to get a new original track/set out of it though looking back, cos it was unique as it had to be a specific length and structure, but linked due to the voices that the gear had from other sets.
  13. tough one. i really rate Augustus Pablo - 555dub st., east of the river nile, and more. Scientist - rids the world…vampires, - wins the world cup sly and robbie - none shall escape... lots of basic channel chain reaction or mauritzio
  14. Vproc is way more upbeat to me actually, its got a slower swagger so as not to be annoyingly percy. but ur meant to bust out to it. mbe if u have a time machine? or massively parallel setup? only scars, nothing intentional
  15. 1 we don't say who did what to anyone 2 depends what were doing respectively 3 only us and our mates really know that, we mimic or copy and impersonate each other a lot, and we compete in a way thats like giving someone a track to dig. 4 friends mostly, but we can play games at them though. for field tests.
  16. draft7.30, sequenced by hand, meaning in an interview about overall shifts in that periods' process than the previous LP, it meant that a lot of the work was a result of being really concerned with getting as close to the events as we could in the DAW, getting access to as much of it as we could - and jamming less while still working on a larger sense of flow. each track was different to some extent because all the tracks were done at different times. not as a whole LP project in strict order.
  17. thanks, switches yeah, good. i tend to follow the pressure changes through this one….
  18. no ID on that, not sure, is it in a gescom mix? - or u asking if its gescom track, cos its not.
  19. its ok, its a bit limiting, but i get that its personal , i reckon its good to have yr own sound/thing if it makes u happy and keeps you active and open. apart from our own little setup when we started, i was keen to get hold of anything, not troubled by it being custom or not, i think ideas are my custom thing, i can use any mainstream gear and always have. i don't make distinctions anymore as to what is lo-fi or not. at last, 106 pages BEFORE ANYONE ASKED oh hey not true !! i totally asked on page 26 (( altho it was sort of tucked between my main question and a thank you*u* message )). http://forum.watmm.com/topic/81109-aaa-ask-autechre-anything-sean-and-rob-on-watmm/page-23?do=findComment&comment=2084242 autechre pls, feel free to ask watmm a question. ah yes pigster - u were quick to offer. i remember seeing that now. duly noted
  20. yeah once we accidentally spilled Vimto on one of our SK's, which caused it to bend itself really. it stayed like that. we're not that into trying out the best gear 'to' bend, but when we started before there were road maps for this, we would find new things (latent potential if u like) in the small setup we had, notably the other SKs, RSD10s was another
