His earlier records are good too if you like that one.

I'm not sure if this album really fits with WATMM but I love it so I'm posting anyway. Think electronic/jazz/vapor fusion. He gets into some very IDM beats on track 4. If Squarepusher came up in the vapor scene he might sound like this.

Bisk was a favorite of mine back in the day.
This is extremely well done. I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea but I'm impressed.

Life is filled with other sounds than just oldschool Roland synths and drum machines. Try explore more even if it's hard in the beginning!
I like their more recent work too but I do miss the prettier sounds from their earlier days. One of the reasons I like SIGN so much is that it's sweeter to the ear than a lot of their late period stuff.

Confield, Draft 7.30, and Untilted is a special arc for me, and I know i've repeated this elsewhere. That said, I tend to listen to Elseq, NTS, AE_LIVE, Onesix the most these days.
Yeah aside from Amber I'm partial to those too. Untilted especially was an exciting step forward.

If I had to pick one Ae record it would be Amber, but I'm glad I don't have to pick.
For a while now their music has been something I admire more than enjoy but I do like the direction they took on Sign. I'd be happier if they dialed back the harsh FM sounds.

This my favorite CPU release in a long while. Playful and a lot of nice sounds.

Good stuff. Quiet Time has been putting out some great albums the past few years.
Yeah I agree. Very consistent label.

This is turning out to be a great weekend for fans of modern variants of IDM.
-
Yep I'm into it too. Nice sounds and a variety of moods.
-
Yeah agreed. He's moved beyond tribute and found his own voice.
-
Nice production and rhythms on this one too. From Istanbul!
-
Sadly this shows how meagre my own Digitone skills are.
-
I missed his earlier release on Schematic but the first play through on this definitely held my attenion. Very abstract with some nice sound design.
-
I did forget about this but just put it on again yesterday and really enjoyed it. Great record, IMO.

Never heard of this guy before but I guess he's usually more of a hip hop producer. In any case this new ambient EP really is lovely.
Sorry no crazy origin story this time!

Haha yes that is my own little contribution to WATMM.
-
Origin story on this is a bit hard to believe but this is experimental beat music that doesn't grow tedious.

His recent work has been great. Happy to have new music from him.
I have to say that living in a little German village and making ambient music sounds like a very nice life too.
-
There is something particularly poignant in 2021 about nostalgia for a time when large groups of happy, optimistic people could gather together safely in large numbers and enjoy music like this.

Album of the week on Bleep. I have to say I'm a bit mystified by the praise these guys get. Their stuff seems very vanilla to me. Like car commercial or Starbucks music. The Apple Music blurb describes it as "endlessly eclectic".

I guess this is sort of a musical prank but it's a good one.

Yeah this is nice. I do hear some echoes of classic 90s tunes but it doesn't sound retro.
What Ae era was your favourite?

I'm having a hard time thinking of any other artists that have had such a long run of consistently interesting releases. I'm glad to have them all.
