*SPOILER* Poor Sophia. At least she's still alive in the comic. I'm kind of glad they went in another direction with it. Anyhow, they'll probably do the prison arc next.- 2,122 replies

The Walking Dead - AMC TV Series (spoilers everywhere)

I tried to write this without spoiling anything for anyone. Yeah, that happens in the first volume. I think issue 5 or 6. It sets up the circumstances with Carl and Shane. I think they're probably going to go forward with that plotline, but are saving it for the end of the season. I actually like the way they're going about it, since it gives Shane more character development. The way things ended in volume 1 seemed kind of abrupt. You do have to keep in mind there's a month between each issue and like 7 or 8 months between volumes.- 2,122 replies

Digital comics on an iPad (or any tablet I'm assuming) makes a world of difference as far as this argument is concerned. I still prefer reading and holding physical items, but sampling new comics or downloading out of print works ( Alan moore's miracle man being a good example) is all pretty sweet on the iPad screen I can understand wanting to get the out of print stuff. That's actually a good way to do it, but I think if I had the choice to either have a stack of physical books or some files on a device, I would choose the physical medium almost every time. I enjoy going to the comic shop and interacting with other nerds.

I should mention, since it's the first page and all, that Scud: The Disposable Assassin is my favorite comic ever. It was compiled into a large trade paperback called The Whole Shebang. This comic is so creative and weird. Definitely an influence in my creative thought.

That first issue is fucking gorgeous. It's been nearly a year and I'm still waiting on issue #2, but I know it will be well worth it. I heard it took about a year to complete that one, by the way.

I read a whole bunch of Image. I regularly buy the Walking Dead and Invincible but will buy pretty much any first issue if it looks promising. Infinite Vacation, Carbon Grey, and Nonplayer are the ones I've been impressed by in the past year. I don't see how anyone could buy comics in a digital format. I understand it's convenient and "green," but there's something to holding the actual physical thing in your hand. I tend to value it more when I can actually touch it.

The Walking Dead - AMC TV Series (spoilers everywhere)

Thanks, I'm all caught up now I'm liking this season so far. I've been reading the comic for years, but I like seeing them take it in a new direction. I'm glad it doesn't directly follow the comic so I have something new to see. Also, I like that Kirkman is more hands on this season.- 2,122 replies

Are there any sites streaming the first few episodes? I don't have cable tv and apparently they aren't hosting them on the AMC site.- 2,122 replies

Christ, the poor grammar in this article really gives me a headache. Do people hire editors anymore? Anyway, I'll wait to see how his new movie turns out then I'll probably pop a vein about fucking up Blade Runner.

I like hiphop here and there, but I'm really only into the instrumental electronic hiphop stuff. Like Harmonic 313, et al.

every week on every music forum there is a new jazz thread in which the same albums are mentioned So the logical thing to do would be to just bump the old one, right?

I swear to zombie jesus there was a thread just like this like three weeks ago.

I've used the H2 quite a few times. It's pretty good. A friend showed me the new H1, and it's pretty damn good, too, especially for the price.
