  1. there was some more footage of that heinous dissidia crap?
  2. i imagine we'll know something by the time blade runner releases. re: xboxobx, if it'd let me play run win10 and play my steam collection at 1080/60fps i'd be in. none of the xbox exclusives have ever enticed me to enter that ecosystem. hoping for some death stranding/ffvii news at sony's presentation tonite but not holding my breath.
  3. Samsung’s 49-inch ultrawide curved display is basically just half a TV at this point https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/6/9/15763980/samsung-chg90-49-inch-ultrawide-curved-display-monitor-huge-excel-gaming
  4. Dang, I'm sure in the first screenshots it looks considerably better - Like hand drawn sprites. This looks more like a PS2 game ran through an HD filter. EDIT: Yeah certainly looks quite different from the first comcept art - doesn't look that different to me. i bet you could get similar stills out of what they currently have. the problem is that it just doesn't look as good in motion as it did watching those sotn sprites did for the first time. and at this point, probably nothing ever will
  5. i didn't back it but i will play it if it doesn't suck. it looks okay but i wish the movement speed was a bit faster. only game i've ever backed was formula fusion which just celebrated it's 1.0 release on steam but i'm too busy playing tekken to get into it =\ i doubt it could be as bad as might no 9. that game definitely suffered from the fact that it had to be ported to like 9 consoles and they just went with putting the 3ds version on everything basically.
  6. There's been a Bloodborne II title screenshot floating around... I bet that's their next game (hopefully not the only one). lame. i thought after bloodborne came out there was a quote where they talked about wanting to do something outside of the dark souls vein and even mentioned ac/tenchu by name. i'm a bad gamer. never played a souls/bloodborne even though i own a couple of them =\ (well, not for more than a combined 20 minutes)
  7. if death stranding is really not gonna be there then i can't imagine much else that will excite me. ffvii remake has gotta be years out with them restructuring development. maybe from will announce a new tenchu or armored core. that could be sweet
  8. tekken online ps4 patch due "end of week" pc and xbox patches due "next week" http://eu.tekken.com/#!/en/news/patch-dates-for-tekken-7-on-pc-ps4-xb1
  9. yeah so it seems really solid online on pc. ranked matches on ps4 are basically impossible to get into right now. tournaments are working fine though. i played like 6 single elimination tournaments last nite on ps4. the only problem is that, when you beat the host, they will probably leave and disband the entire thing. i wasted about 40 minutes working my way up to grand finals in two separate tournaments where i was one hit away from winning and then the thing was just suddenly disbanded. so if you're wanting to do tournaments i would suggest hosting your own and don't be a dick if you lose. watch the other people play and you might learn something. i'm sure it's because i've been playing tekken for so long but it by far seems the most intuitive control interface to me. to each their own i guess =\
  10. That's quite a pimped out King you got there! You're playing on PC? I would have thought you'd go for PS4... My copy will probably arrive around 7-8 PM tonight, typical of Amazon same-day release deliveries... For what they're offering, it's still too much. eh... huge fanboy so i picked up both versions. mainly so i can hit it up on the pc when someone else is using the ps4. my bestbuy preorder for ps4 won't be here 'til later today so i dove into the steam release double dipping was a little easier to swallow since i got the pc version for like ~$32 and the ps4 version for ~$42 Yeah, I saw you were online on PS4 and I was like WTF? T7 is soo much fun! Love the new characters - I think Katarina is my new main. Legs for days - dat reach tho! beat the main story on steam. and blowing through it on hard on ps4. went to a tournament on saturday. did pretty good in casuals either winning or going pretty even with opponents. of course that amounted to an 0-2 tourney standing. had to fight speedkicks' hwoarang in the first round and he's arguably one of the best in the country/world. whole thing was over in a matter of seconds. second match was much more even against a jack player but still no bueno. got a decent spot of time to grind out before the next tourney in august tho. lemme know if you need to get drillt on psn ;)

  12. tekken 7 omg. can't wait to get back home today. game looks/runs great on my super old pc somehow (must be the 1060).
  13. dunno if you've seen this (probably have), but as a fan of sf3 you owe it to yourself to watch it (if you haven't):
  14. but i'd also like to say do yourself a favor and play tekken instead ;)
  15. ultimately i think you get the best experience by either grinding online and trying to figure out why you're losing or trying to figure out if there's a local scene where you can play people irl (i know of at least one relatively big fighting game tournament in canada but i dunno where you are or where it is). look up if there's a local facebook fgc group or something in your area. etc.
  16. PM juiceciuj lol. never been much of an sf player myself. i got low-middling good in sf5 waiting for tekken7 to drop (friday can't come soon enough). coincidentally i did just see this recent article posted: http://compete.kotaku.com/these-five-americans-moved-to-japan-for-street-fighter-1795609000 sf3 does hold a certain appeal with the universal parry system but i never bothered to get that good at it. i picked up the ps3 re-release a few years ago and it was the only time i spent any time with the game. ok, thanks man, i'm going to see if i can find street fighter tutorials on youtube do you think i could learn how to play by watching street fighter 5 videos? if you are wanting to learn sfv then absolutely. if you're trying to apply sfv tutorials to sf3 then probably not. but these days there tons of forums/video tutorials/writes ups of modern fighting games that can give you a thorough walk through of game mechanics and the basics of whatever the current meta is. sfv is about to undergo a pretty big balance patch on the 30th so people are basically going to be relearning how to use their characters and it will kind of reset that game to a more even footing if you're just coming into it for the first time. shoryuken.com (aka srk) probably has the best forums for sfv other than facebook groups. http://forums.shoryuken.com/categories/street-fighter-v be prepared though. if you're really just starting out and just starting to get online then you are going to lose. a lot. you just have to treat each match as a learning experience. pick a character. learn your entire movelist (luckily they're not that big in sf). learn your combos and punishes, etc. but like, i dunno how basic you're starting from. do you know about reversals? understand what punishing is? understand invincibility frames on dps and other moves? input shortcuts? counting frames? hitboxes/hurtboxes?
