  1. According to Consequence of Sound, not likely to win
  2. And you guys say none of the Myspace Tuss tracks were legit...
  3. When I heard the first seconds of the Cottage tracks, my brain said Analord. But JR's comments and subsequent listens got me wondering maybe Tuss.
  4. I'm hearing around 2000 estimate for 179 brk 2. Thoughts on when for cubdelay (sounds later, maybe 2004?), Notting Hill Bus (not sure, but 1997 or later), and the two Cottages (Analord, 2004ish)?
  5. Some notes after catching up on all the pages this morning (you guys post a lot!): Not enough love for Phase Acid. Loving that one. Talking to my lady about Make A Baby, about why the hell the kid thought about bread/babies. She said it must come from "bun in the oven" which makes sense. Somebody mentioned speeding up [slo]w early morning clissold sunrise. I agree that it's worth it. But what is the right speed? I was thinking 30% faster, but I'd welcome other opinions. Evidence that RDJ is reading this thread?: Gocab said something like "backing to raving maturely" and then shortly thereafter RDJ posted the track (mature raver). What say you
  6. https://www.sendspace.com/file/3h2yrh Giving the music for free doesn't mean he's giving up the copyrights. How many people will see your work, and will you be making money off it? Best to just take right route and contact them to ask permission. but shouldnt it be copyrighted when you are on label, have "trademarked" artist name etc? i mean...it's just a soundcloud account, what to do in this situation? or soundcloud automaticaly "copyrights" music? or where i can read about it more? i really bad at this... It's copyrighted as soon as he makes it. Doesn't have to be released or on a label or anything. As soon as you create an original work you own the rights to it. Stephen and zazen are right. <This isn't legal advice to you, but> We see this a lot with code posted online without any license. It looks like it's free to use because the poster didn't say otherwise, but legally they need to grant you a license to use it. Usually this is done with various open source licenses with code, but you don't see that so much with music. Without having a copyright right license to use, you're stuck hoping your use is "fair use" under copyright law which is a hard fight to win.
  7. I wonder if the #Art hashtag in SubCan is in reference to Applied Rhythmic Technology
  8. I'm afraid RDJ will ragequit after FmsubBass upload failures
  9. Seems like he keeps trying to upload FmsubBass and it's not working. I've gotten three emails from SoundCloud about it, but no track and he referenced this frustration. I want the track I can't have, and it's driving me mad. It's all over all over my fa e a e a e ace
  10. Did anyone grab FmsubBass when posted? I'm guessing he just changed the name to Bonkophone but am not sure
  11. It's this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQw6Bm2V8Qw Ah thanks very much for posting. Mystery solved and I admit I was mistaken. Also since I'm a little newish to this board please permit me to slightly geek out by saying how excited I was to realize who you were this morning. Saw you live in NYC in 97 or 98 opening for Bjork at Hammerstein with the dope lightbulb hanging down over the table. That was awesome; I was going as much to see you as Bjork.
  12. I posted about this a few days ago, but it got lost in the shuffle (it was posted in the clamor of battle), but could some one identify this track? http://forum.watmm.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=8614 As far as I can tell, it's an unreleased AFX track played live at some point that's quite good. But maybe I'm mistaken.
  13. I love sline too; I think the higher synth sounds like a Novachord, although I'm not aware of RDJ having one, nor am I in any way a synthly knowledgeable person so probably disregard
  14. The problem is it actually is a highlight because it's fucking excellent. I guess not hearing a total of 3 or 4 tracks that aren't widely distributed anymore means I can't aphex. Oh well, I won't be losing any sleep over it. That's not my point though, I mean, I don't care that you didn't listen to every single obscure track like a TRVE APHEX FAN should, don't take it so seriously. But I still find it funny that, of the more than a hundred new tracks we got, people gush over the only one that's already been released. Not in a "oh god why haven't you listened to every single track like a REAL FAN LIKE ME" way, but in a "well that's ironic" way Makes sense to me, though. It confirms that this track was "the one" to release. Correct choice made, RDJ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, that and Shit Smothered
  15. So far, I've been coming back to that one the most. Any thoughts on why the Red Calx metronome just drops out after the first minute (or half minute)? Also, tracks like Organ, the later stuff, I think were not release ready but were more like detailed sketches leading up to release ready versions.
  16. Yay...finally have the new files downloaded, artwork'd, and fully tagged (including some guesswork). Whew! That was a labor (of love). Can't wait to try out the new higher quality tracks
  17. Not clear that he's back to uploading, although clearly he did add this last one. Sounded like he's not uploading more atm, but at least plans to enable 320 download of the prior 109 tracks.
