Old Laibach is so good
I find their recent stuff a bit too cheesy
-
-
You - Ghastly. Protagonist is a horrible little misogynist shitbag and the plot is so dry it was giving me ennui. Still has ~80% on RT somehow.
-
Bird Box - Pretty dull and the ending was so sickly sweet I thought it was going to be a dream sequence. Terrible.
Also kinda half watched the Harry Potter movies over the Xmas period and boy they do not hold up at all, I remembered them being more passable.

This album's unnecessary extra eps and drove of needless obscure merchandise -> Age of Excess

Some games would be pretty brutal and end there and then (especially with RPG elements and your character just gets to 0HP). I would just put bookmarks or fold page corners on choices I thought were important. I'm glad they didn't make you go from start to finish in the episode each time to be honest. I thought the episode was good, not crazy ground breaking (this must have been done before surely).

Rediscovered Front Line Assembly after 10+ break. This was the shit back in the day before turning myself into 100% IDM trend nerd. Was more a Skinny Puppy fan but in my case FLA seems to have stood the test of time better (the 90's stuff that is, can't really get into post 2000 stuff). Kinda thrilled about this. Glad I didn't sold my discs at one point. Some picks:
Okay they're way more EBM than pure industrial butwhatevs (and [FLA]vour Of the Weak is very strongly Techno influenced). But it's all Industrial, eh???
Also, have been digging Download's Furnace:
Download is so good, cEvin Key is insanely prolific. Do check out his work under his name as well:

Episode 3 of DUSK is SO GOOD. Excellent game.
-
lol holy hell
I really do need to dig into his older stuff, these snd tracks are lush
-
DUSK - Real cool, I feel like the original Quake gets overlooked easily as an old school FPS influence and it's easily my favourite. It really gets that mix of fast paced gameplay, fun horror themes and quirky secrets. About halfway through Act 2 I think.
Sounds like you made to the Escher Labs by now? The game gets even crazier in the third episode. You'll see.
yeah just hit the fucked up geometry

borxnit means zbqxrinit

Riverdale - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Warframe - The new expansion is fun. I always get a little burned out on the repetitive gameplay but coming back to new updates reminds me how damn fun it can be.
Rimworld - 1.0 patch is pretty good, ties up a lot of weird gameplay elements and odd design decisions. There's a few annoying minor bugs but still just as fun. Most annoying thing was updating my mod list as a lot of them got passed over to new workshop entries for 1.0.

can we just regress back into deranged inbred monarchy again please, I think I'd be happier as a swamp person farming moss as is what appears to be my family history

New game revealed from the creators of No Man's Sky
Scheduled for release next year (go figure lol)
looks cool, wonder how the Hello Games brand will affect reception?

Looks like something being premiered today at midday UK time from Boiler Room/4:3
Oneohtrix Point Never in full-blown industrial sci-fi mode with some of his deadliest drum programming, ecstatic reckless synths & “sideways ragtime” piano played by James Blake. Premiering now on 4:3.

edit: no new material, glossy live video of We'll Take It

lel at this nylon bag shit with Bethesda. actually don't know who to laugh at more, the idiots who spent 200 USD on it, the idiots screeching about how it's the end of Bethesda, or Bethesda.
it's obviously a shitty fuck up and the $5 in-game compensation was a cup of piss in the face but man, who the hell thought FO76 was going to be good enough to drop $200 on??

Very good find.
I think it was unearthed by https://www.reddit.com/r/DeepIntoYouTube/ - mostly crap but they get a few gems like this

I was optimistic about the Alex G cover of Babylon but they managed to up the cheese even more on it (complete with dated as hell fade out)... still not sure if that's the point or not
Last Known Image is a track that's really grown on me and I love this rework. Not sure how I feel about Country Girl.

ah cool, put those around a picture of Nick Land and say "black snow" three times and you'll summon an Alibaba Corporate Overlord AI from the future

I don't know, it's kinda funny seeing people get mad or upset over Fallout 76. It's not like NMS where everything about it seemed opaque up to release, the beta for Fallout looked like absolute hot trash and people still bought it in droves (quick google puts it as 3rd most sold game last week in the UK). I'm usually pretty lenient on Bethesda quality but this is another level.

You guys been following the Jared Threatin story? So bizzarre and kinda hilarious...
Faked a fanbase to book a European Tour
https://variety.com/2018/music/news/threatin-european-tour-stunt-fake-ticket-sales-1203029145/
His own brother calling him out on his bullshit...
Fake fanbase was "an illusion", "you're all part of the illusion"... fucking lol
absolutely wild, surely this cost the guy a lot of money? is he basically Tommy Wisseau of the rock world?

Could not care less about Metro being on Epic's launcher. One DRM platform for another, whatever. Looking forward to the game though.
