  1. IMO Vol.2 is much better than Vol.1, it's much more coherent as an album. However Vol.1 does include some quite nice old archive tracks

I've never really got Pomme Fritz, I know it got slated on release and I can kinda see why as it seems to meander all over the shop from start to end. Although I do enjoy the stupidity of the last track....

  2. Orblivion was also good but not the same, not as deep and stonerfied more upbeat

That was the first orb album I got and I bought it mainly because of Toxygene. I remember using it as the soundtrack to Quake back in the day on my uber jerky 486 DX4 100, though I have no idea why as the two didn't really fit, ah to be young !

  3. Odd, I don't remember my CD ending abruptly.. how long is your Slug Dub track?

Mine is 15:49, though it looks like the US version and the vinyl version is 17:03. Perhaps they thought us English sorts would get offended by the bird eating up the slugs (that entire bit has been removed)

I was about to buy the remastered version of the album but notice the version of the track is also 15:49 long...

  4. It's a shame the full version of Slug Dub didn't make it to the CD version of the album (well the version I bought anyway), it seems to end so abruptly that way ....

    But yeah it's a darn good'un !

  5. I was gonna rename the thread to what I thought was the correct spelling and have just realised I've been incorrectly referring to Italo Disco as 'Italio' Disco for about 3 years now.

  6. oh man if you grew up in the uk/ireland in the late 70s/early 80s you'll be in love with this from the first track

it's like hospital radio from another dimension

Yeah what the hell. The theme from Rainbow is from a proper song ?! :wtf:

  7. Ok I'm starting to compile all of these fellows now ... if you've got any tracks that you haven't posted yet but could possibly make it to the 'best of' compilation then feel free to post them in the next few days. The compilation at the moment is looking quite taphead heavy as there are some phenomenal sounding bends he's posted, but I'd prefer to have a few more artists on there (modey did you say there are quite a lot you've made recently - or are you collating them for your own use - no worries if you are !)

  8. Moved as to not derail the krYlon topic completely !

    Here's the full method -

    1. Download gens+ ( http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/genesis/gens_plus.html ). My version is 0.0.9.60 but hopefully .61 linked there onwards doesn't fix the (possible) bug that allows you do do this.

    2. Download lots of roms (obviously I can't link them here, but a quick google should help you)

    3. Make save states for some of the roms. I recommend going to at least the start of level 1 of the game when making the save as presumably it means more data should've loaded into ram

    4. Load any rom, and select a save state from a diferent game.

    5. Pray the IDM Overstep gods are on your side

I haven't yet worked out why some games completely bomb out and why some seem to work. I got quite lucky with the three mp3s I posted above - usually you get just 1 or two held fm notes ....

  9. One last one before I go to bed as it's stupid o'clock - it's loading a save state of a sonic 2 beta into a mod of sonic 1. The 'retriggered' drums actually sound suprisingly autechre-y

    sonic broked.mp3

Apologies for the noise at about 5:20, I was gonna edit it out but I'm sure you guys would rather hear it untouched....

  10. I've actually just found out that you can do it even without corrupted saves. Just load a rom of one game and a save state of another, it's quite hit and miss whether a tune will play and not just glitch out instantly. The glitched sonic 2 music is just the first level (Emerald Hill ?)
