  1. Shouldn't have sold my ps4 so soon. Probably zero chance this will ever see the light of day on PC. Anyway, looks like they finally got around to using neural network upscaling for The Longest Journey. People still playing Sekiro? I need to get back into it. I'm still on that Butterfly chick
  2. Was with my girlfriend eating Fruit Loops with soy milk out of a mesh waste basket. Somehow it held the liquid even with all the holes. We ate about half of it and there was just milk left. I started scooping those Reese's Pieces liners and questioned how sanitary it was. She then dunked her entire arm in it. Had another dream about someone's family photo, except everyone had the face of a Pterodactyl.
  3. You might be interested in reading Archaic Revival by Terence Mckenna if you haven't already. I just started it myself..He had similar predictions about reaching hyperreality with psychedelics and computers simulation. John C Lily also had visions of autonomous, sentient "Solid State Intelligences" in his book The Scientist.
  4. In my dream I was on a beach with the surf making tiny pools as it rolled in and out, there was a large grey wall to my right close to the shore. Above the wall were giant spider-like creatures jumping off, non-threatening. There was an entrance into the wall and a staircase. The wall had long horizontal windows on top overseeing the ocean. Inside was a row of workers wearing white sleeveless t-shirts, they looked Asian and they were there maintaining some kind of mechanism. I could see the sweat on them. When I looked in, they stared back at me. Then I woke up. I just ordered some Huperzine A. Going to see if it will increase my dream recall/vividness.
  5. I'm selling my Renoise license if anyone's interested:
  6. well unless it's some elaborate scam, which I doubt.. their roadmap shows they plan to slowly roll out delegated proof of stake next year, then it will be decentralized. The CEO is a great spokseman.. and does a good job of explaining the project and what improvements are needed in relation to the current state of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. If the team can live up to their goals, I think it will have a very lucrative future. Maybe there will be a better altcoin, no one really knows it's all speculative at this point, but regardless I believe many of these top coins will make a nice return during the next bull run over the next few years. Personally, I'm not missing out on a ~15x opportunity over such a short term
  7. I don't really believe I'm mentally ill.. but I do suffer occasionally from social anxiety. I've made improvements through forcing myself out of my comfort zone and exposing myself to whatever phobias I might have, that and living a healthier, more honest lifestyle. However, I'd still be open to trying esketamine once it gets FDA approval. I read that Johnson & Johnson submitted an NDA not long ago for its use with treatment resistant depression. I really want to get high off it, I love the profundity of the experience, better then anything on this earth for me in moderation.. which has always proved impossible. This probably belongs in the favorite drugs thread
  8. going to leave this technical analysis here for those profiteering types, a good buy zone for long-term investment might be upcoming: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BLX/BiVh8LiU-Bitcoin-s-Three-Market-Cycles-Time-Price-Observations/ just think of all the time saved for more personal endeavors and hobbies with that potential return of investment.. still have my money on ADA. even their design team sounds pretty decent:
  9. this is interesting. did virualization thru linux reach an acceptable stage already? did you have a chance to benchmark pure win7 vs virtualized? It definitely works and works well. However, it's not like I can just play games on Linux and Windows, the GPU is isolated from the Linux OS for the VM to take complete control over it. However, as far as running it simultaneously with Fedora or whatever other dedicated virtual environments I want, it does that all just fine. No benchmarks, but I've since tested it with a few games that are both GPU & CPU intensive, like the Witcher 3, and it runs that well also. I followed this guide, it's fairly straightforward: https://bluehatrecord.wordpress.com/2015/12/05/performing-iommu-based-gpu-pci-passthrough-with-fedora-22/
  10. just built a new gaming rig in one of these mini-itx cases: i7 6700k, 16gb ram, mini 1070 gtx... running Fedora with gpu passthrough to a Windows 7 virtual machine. It's an absolute beast playing everything smoothly at 1080p. Currently tackling Dark Souls 3 (never completed the first few) and The Witness. Haven't really sat down and played a game in a while. Don't really want to waste my time with rehashes. Hopefully games like Routine, Scorn, and Agony will bring something new to the table
  11. From the original developers of Myst and Riven, Rand Miller and Robyn Miller as composer. Can't wait to play this. Love the intro from Myst:
  12. Dude, she has cat eyes. One eye just opens wider then the other. This imperfection is the hottest thing in the world..
  13. Has anyone seen Midnight Special yet? It's gotten a limited release, kind of looks like a rise of Cyclops film, but it's getting comparisons to early Spielberg films like Close Encounters of the 3rd kind and ET.

    Now Reading

Would like to be reading some good fiction. Too obsessed at the moment in absorbing Linux commands, looking to become RHCSA certified. Most of my reading is a PDF of Asghar Ghori's latest textbook during my commute, sometimes supplemented with watching Kali Linux videos for fun. CBTNuggets are a great resource for that type of stuff.
  15. For me, my binges on MXE were the most profound, blissful and transcendent experiences I have ever encountered as a human being. It was so strangely seductive for me. It was as if I was viewing the world anew again, everything felt fresh, and the wonkiness of a powerful trip was almost always worth it. But it was just way too addictive for me, especially as it had so few apparent side effects. All I wanted was more, day in, day out. Now, DMT is something different. This must be chemical communication with extraterrestrial life forces if there is any. I used to take Spice on my comedown from MXE as it would always lighten the DMT experience in a positive way. Without MXE, the trip had potential to have a much more serious, malevolent tone. I do have loads of homemade e-Spice at my disposal, but honestly, the stuff is intimidating.. and at two years sober, even slight altercation to just my serotonin receptors alone can throw my normal, daily routine off. I'm comfortable with low doses once in a while. The effect is similar to traditional tryptamines, but with a much shorter duration. These substances deserve the utmost respect. It saddens me to think so many people marginalize these drugs in place of dumb intoxicants such as alcohol or stimulants. Each can arguably have their place in moderation, but why do so many societies shun such powerful healers/teachers? Fear of the unknown or uncertain? Anyway, I feel like bragging, so here is my rig, including my glass sherlock and temp-controlled vape mod with rebuildable coil, strictly for Spice. Tools for spiritual/alien/otherworldly guidance.
  16. Cargo (2009) - Swiss sci-fi. I'm guessing Soma drew some inspiration from this (and both from PKD).
  17. I think my account got deleted a while ago. I've been floating around here since ~07. But yeah, the launch titles are horrible
  18. http://www.htcvive.com/us/ Valve VR pre-orders are up. Anyone getting one? I'm tempted, but I'm so busy these days. I'd be interested if a VR demoscene got traction or if someone could create a VR Mind Machine
