  1. Holy shit - I scrolled from bottom up, so I didn't see your text before I saw the photos - I was thinking how nice the wraps on those cars were and never once thought they were renderings until you said so... It's a real looker of a game. Hard to believe I'm squeezing out 60fps with this level of texture/detail, love it.
  2. Resisting the urge to spend more time in photo mode than actually driving in Forza Horizon 4 is tough...
  3. Forza Horizon 4 on PC is amazing. After the unfortunate mess that was FH3's troubled PC launch, it's great to see how well Playground have turned it around for this one. I can't quite muster a solid 60fps at 2560x1600 (16:10 monitor) with my system, but dialling it back to native res (1920x1200) with higher in-game settings hits a nice visual sweet spot with 60fps locked. Early days, but it has an immensely satisfying driving model once you flip most of the assists off. I'd go so far as to say it's the best any Forza game has ever had, and I've gone through them all (except FM5). Weekly seasons and constant event updates are going to be great fun, can't wait to get stuck in.

  5. Wot span said. Also mentioned: - normalizing volume of the Symphonic Suites - encoding the music and FMV files - injecting music into the game's custom files I tend to pick up multi-platform stuff on PC for reasons other than mod support, but things like this really are the icing on the cake. All it took me in terms of effort was waiting for 8GB to download, a few minutes spent copying files into the relevant folders, and hitting play in Steam. I would have paid a nominal fee to have the orchestral version as DLC, but if the massive bigot that is Koichi Sugiyama wants to gatekeep his precious works behind concerts and CDs then I'm more than happy to use a workaround. As for the mod team wanting reimbursement? Forget it: "The team REFUSES and will NOT accept any form of donation for this project, everyone on the team loves these games as much as you and believe that this is the absolute best way to experience one of the best entries in the series." Good work, clever bods
  6. Having set it up (8GB download, woof) I can confirm that playing DQXI with anything other than the orchestral soundtrack in this mod is doing a wrong one. I can't recommend it highly enough.
  7. Dragon Quest XI orchestral soundtrack mod is go Amazing how dedicated some folks are with this sort of thing, and how quickly they've pulled it together. The default soundtrack really does start to grate after a while so I'm eager to see the difference.
  8. Rolling Stone review: Aphex Twin Mildly Updates His Classic Skitter on ‘The Collapse’ EP "Most Aphex Twin music since 2001’s Drukqs has been some amalgam of Richard D. James’ greatest tricks: the tripping-over-a-drum-machine skitter, the gorgeous piano dirges, the blissful ambience, the squelchs of acid techno gone feral. The Collapse EP starts with a spasmodic, flickering updates of classic Aphex – opener “T69 Collapse” has the wistful melodies and unpredictable chattering rhythms of 1996’s Richard D. James Album and the accelerated gravity beats of 1997’s “Bucephalus Bouncing Ball.” But the LP promptly falls down a dank, dubby hole that feels, rhythmically, like his classic drill ‘n’ bass, but texturally more like modern rumble. The rubbery art-trap of “1st 44” sounds like a Mike Will Made It beat run through a blender, “Abundance10edit[2 R8’s, FZ20m & a 909]” sounds like multiple vintage techno records playing over each other, the wubbing “MT1 t29r2” sounds like mosquitos flitting about a sewer rave and “Pthex” is acid nostalgia through a cocaine haze."
  9. 20 games including Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms (remaining 15 to be announced). I understand the kind of crowd Sony is aiming at with this thing, especially releasing it during the holiday season, but... the original carpal tunnel-inducing PS controller design? You can't go and include something like RRT4 and not have a DualShock controller. If any of the Wipeouts also make it on to here, it's a certified mess. *hugs PS One + LCD combo*
  10. Hi Rich All going well Amazon Music have been in touch after seeing E&C and the other posters. They want to do something with us to promote Collapse and were talking about projection mapping around London release week. Could be good. What you reckon? OK - as long as branding isn't too yucky and Weirdcore directs it Agreed Spoke to W this morning and we're meeting the people tat can do it - we can have two vans that hit 2-3 locations around London each. Suggesting E&C, Southbank, shoreditch station and one in Soho. They might get shut down - but trying for those ha We projection map onto walls collapsing the texture of the walls There is also the possibility that it can be interactive - there would be a plinth near the projection van that people can use a bit like a theremin - the closer your hand goes the deeper the collapse goes or something. We could potentially include sound in this. Up for doing something there? Yeh let me know wot you need W on CC They said : 4 X audio samples ( Max/MSP controlling pitch speed from the leap ) seeing them later ok Seems cool i have some ideas whihc i've just email you about - it will be an intro, an interactive playback bit and a playback bit main 2 questions can Notch do ambient occlusion? features i'd love to control is cycling/cascading color changes,, like the edges/sides/caps of the logo, a bit like the rough gif attached thinking of maybe making simple data visualisation for the other track of ep,, & maybe from the stims from t69 & do some kinda close encounters type visual mural,,, as wouldfit with the extra added to v1.1 Would be good to have some of the data overlay like the vid 1.1
  11. In addition to recent aphex site shenanigans, I know the ship on the audio player was known about... But did we know about this lot... And was this birthday dino up on Ricardo's birthday and not spotted?
