  4. I've never shot with any other camera system, so I have no frame of reference to be honest. However... I am very much a Fuji shooter now. The X100T was (and still is) an incredible camera, and I'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. I upgraded to this, because I wanted to move to something with interchangeable lenses, and this was just announced. Seemed like a good choice, and in my very limited time with it (the past few hours), it's awesome.
  5. anxious to get to grips with this over the weekend!
  6. yeah tapatalk isn't awesome for it. I personally do it the hard way - grab link from flickr / imgur (back when I was posting with that) and then do the old tag lol hi Richard.
  7. very nifty, reminds me of that guy who did the artwork for The Downward Spiral
  8. thought it best I use my voice to reply to this one https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3080771/watmm_photos.mp3
  9. but....all digital photos are processed by the JPEG converters inside them (if you're shooting in JPEG mode, if in RAW mode then they're not processed) and thusly are 'filtered' through whatever colour curves they have. but hey-ho
  10. I just bought an XF23mm 1.4 R lens, and I've pre-ordered the X-Pro2. Exait. In the meantime, here are the last few pics I took with my X100T a few days ago. That camera has now been traded in. 16. Yeah the filtered looks are primarily coming from post-processing, within either Lightroom with VSCO packs, or with the VSCO app on my phone. I find that the phone app (particularly on Android) can introduce JPG artefacting, particularly on reds for some reason. As for the overall look of the photos, it's a combination of everything really. My camera (Fujifilm X100T), in my non-expert opinion, imparts it's on mark on the quality of the image in terms of the sharpness of the image as well as the focal length of the image, lens distortion, and bokeh. The in-camera processing does have it's own look, which can be manipulated on-board with it's own set of filters but I tend not to use them. I should also mention, if it's not obvious from my shots and the camera I'm using - it's a prime lens camera, and I have no zoom. I also usually work in full manual mode (aka 'fuckin hipster mode') the majority of the time. The rest of it is all done in Lightroom. I shoot in RAW + JPEG, so I have the RAW files to mess about with in Lightroom in high quality, and then I also have the JPEG if I want to post-process in the mobile phone app (VSCO app for mobile doesn't support RAW files, at least not yet. Snapseed, however, does support RAW files but I find it's filters a bit too heavy handed). Coming from only using mobile phones for photography, shooting in RAW on a semi-decent camera, using software that can handle RAW files, really is night-and-day difference in terms of the quality of the pictures I've been taking. I had wanted a proper camera for ages, and I wish I had gotten hold of one a lot sooner. What's your workflow?
  17. Oscilik, you live near some tasty looking stuff and take pictures that make 'em look even more tasty. The low exposure on that last one makes the handrail look cel shaded and/or video gamey. I love this thread to, took another look at it last night and was immediately inspired head out in the dead of night and take some photos(which didn't turn out great). Anyway, here be some holiday shots from LAHNDAN TAHN last month; DSC_0688 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0702 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0217 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0783 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0801 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0813 by Michael Liston, on Flickr DSC_0036 by Michael Liston, on Flickr Thanks man! I currently not in the UK, so the scenery is a bit different from normal, and I thought I'd grab a few snaps. Weather hasn't been particularly forgiving, and my camera isn't weather sealed. Your shots are awesome, and you got another follower on Flickr
