who is this user btw? since 06. lots of stuff afx related.

oh yes, now browsing the channel, nice. thanx

there's a bootleg of the  warp gig in venue "main d'oeuvre"  (paris france 2002 ) I was at this one but didn' remember any bit of it , so now I can figure out what was going on.

i.i.r.c. Rich was playing a dj set, it wasn't really notified in the line-up as we was part of the "+ warp dj's" so it was a surprise.

it was a crazy line-up with also playing : phoenecia, mark bell, mira calix, richard devine, plaid, chris clark.

...and I'm wondering how windows and luminaires will react to sub cabs

edit : maybe there a theater or something in this building and the show will not be at this hall  the picture shows ?

it's just Ableton-made synths and effects in standalone

abelton clip-mode thing without bringing out a computer is a nice thing. (liveset config in mind) but this is waaayy too expensive for me right now. (and I just spend my few money on the TR-6S so I won't be buying anything else soon haha)

give us  a cheap version with just midi and no audio/ synths / effects / and liscensing fee etc that comes with it . like a modern alesis MMT8 .

but also, and this is crazy cool, Max4Live.

yes ! probably a bit pain in the ass to work M4L on the tiny screen but I guess you have laptop communication for editing and importing.

  5. after  ten years not buying any new gear, I just bought a TR-6S.

needed a (very) small drum machine for livesets that would replace (or go along with) my beloved old korg ES-1 because I've caned it and need to go further.

classic factory sounds are okay but the important thing is that I needed something i can put my own samples in it so there it goes.

just a few hours on it and I'm pretty happy with it. the sequencer is really flexible as I expected. I love that 8-variations bank - per - pattern and how you can quickly modify them on-the-fly. perfect for live beat jamming /  sequence fuckery.

obviously if you're into total finger-drumming stuff it won't work : too small buttons + no velocity sensing (I mean it's not an MPC)

but i'm more on sequence manipulation so it's okay. obviously not as direct for sound manipulation than the TR8 but it's not a surprise as long as The TR8 has way more faders and knobs. but i don't bother. sequence control was the main deal for me.

the build looks a bit weak though for a 400 bucks gear. it seems not as sturdy as my mate's  TR-8S. time will tell.

    .....

and by the way , just moved to another house, with a big basement, so full-size studio rebuild is on it's way, I'll soon be back in making tracks :spiteful:

I said 'Bonjour' and from my limited French vocabulary I think I got scolded and told to say more than just 'Bonjour'

ah .. well actually .... sorry....    wrong thread maybe,  forget about it : nothing interesting in terms of A.I. properly, it's just a link on chat-gtp at the end.

anyway here's the joke: these days there are strike in france, people objecting against new pensions laws for working people (to make it short)

"CGT" is the name of one of the labor union that -amongst others- are struggling against this law  (their real position could be arguable, but nonetheless it's a popular reference)

so, the joke with replacing "GPT" with "CGT" was the idea,  the guy beind the joke was telling : "The number of characters has been limited in the answers. Let's take back the money from the bosses (understand : capitalists governement bosses) in order to have more words."

then you could type  "give me a protest slogan" in the window above (linking to the actual chat GPT bot) and then click "print it " so you can use it out in the street during the protest.   sort of a joke.

also he provides a tip to - sort of - share a trial version of chat gtp gathered one one account, so his chat-gpt version would run free for every protesting person (turns out it' s not working at the end actually, but anyway the idea was fun )  - edit : chat gtp is free afaik so I might been messing up, nevermind

as for a end, they said that actually the IA was on strike so you could not ask the chatbot to type something because it's on strike to support protesting workers.

that's why it's called "Chat CGT - your Marxist I.A"

I just foud about this just aftr browsing that IA topic, so I stupidly post it there coz was fun to me.
