500 IDM points for you. Nice one!Have been wondering about this for a while, but I thought I heard Jamie Lidell's voice in 'Shin triad' on Squarepusher's third album. He's not credited anywhere for it as far as I can tell. Seeing now that they did a live collab afterwards and that Lidell released music on Spymania, it doesn't seem implausible.

Perhaps this is common knowledge and I'll for a bit...
Doesn't sound quite like Jamie to me, but I guess we'll never know! I suppose one could always ask him - he usually likes to hang and talk to fans after his shows. I keep meaning to ask him what the lyrics are to Daddy's Car...I can never make them out entirely, but I love that song! I end up making up the words to sing it to myself.
Alright, I went to see Jamie's show in Brussels yesterday and it was really good. Spoke to him afterwards and asked him about this. He said it was him on that track and I was the first to ever ask him about it. Said I was a pretty smart guy :D lol
Really nice person, very pleasant to talk to.

Yeah, that's awesome, thanks for posting!

Iiiinteresting.
Not as memorable as certain other OPN videos (Sticky Drama, Boring Angel, Problem Areas, that NSFW one for R+7), but it made me dive into OPN's music again so mission accomplished. -
Should pick this up, samples sounded really good.

DJ Spanky from Phuture...

http://longplayer.org :)that's an interesting idea. I'm sure that some artwank has already done produced the longest album though and it's likely a few decades long. There's that longest performance that will last centuries using some low pitched instrument that is an installation somewhere in europe if memory serves.
Currently playing for over 16 years, it will play for a thousand years (and streams live non-stop!) without repetition.

So that's 1,2,3,7,8,9 and 16 so far. 1 vote each.
Lol
Why not try that compilation Clone released recently? Otherwise, skip through all the albums on bandcamp or check out one of the mixes Aleksi did containing tracks from a lot of different albums.
I've written this down before, but my faves depends on my mood - the first two levels are an introduction to the frequencies / styles, Level 5 is very deep ambient, Level 14 is high energy dancefloor colundi, Level 10 and 11 are quite different again, etc. Whatever floats your boat basically.

I'm so glad I watched the entire season before reading this thread...
Just watched this in a few days, absolutely loved it. Was a bit hesitant after the first two episodes but yeah, great storytelling, great soundtrack, great references, all top. I don't really see any need for a second season though, most of the excitement in the show came from very slowly being clued in on the world and it's rules? The ending was done very well too, ambigious in places but with enough closure. But seeing the pop culture hype surrounding this show already I'm sure it's going to be milked for all it's worth?

I'll probably go for the digitals of this, already have Cirque on CD. Also, as triachus showed me yesterday:

Really loving this reissue. Might prefer the second Vodka mix to the original even :)
Waltz, Clissold Bathroom and Organ Plodder (sounds like a car honk at the start of Organ Plodder over the recording?) are already worth the reissue imo, as well as finally having Brivert & Muonds properly now! Top move Mike & Rich. -
Just got a notification that my tape and vinyl are shipped (two separate emails, sent separately as well?) :)!
Going to chill with a few beers and this album tonight

10/10
yo brother .. you're missing australian funniation for 'arrogance' .. I don't say things with 'deadly seriousness' .. cause that is not where i'm coming from, a land down under .. that cultural missing the pont and the net being text based has perhaps caused many a missed opportunity not to be annoyed at sad arsed me .. heheh .. it's a shame really .. but whatever .. [-;
I wasn't serious either.

The true original first watmm'er has passed away today as well.
RIP Gene Wilder -
The Laura Palmer diary is alright.
Who's getting the soundtrack on vinyl?
I'm going to wait and hope that this new pressing makes the original pressings cheaper, mostly because they changed the artwork into something... else (sperge-alert). Julee Cruise' Floating In The Night on vinyl is higher on my list anyway, and at least they kept the original artwork intact.
edit: oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably still end up buying them both

3 episodes are away from finishing the series^^
been taking my time with this one. have to be in the right mood or I find myself not paying attention.
I did this as well. Just finished it last night. Watched almost non stop then my wife, my 1 year old son, and I moved so we put off the last few episodes for months until we were settled in the new house. Then we held off until we were on vacation in Cloudcroft, NM. Appropriately it is a very sleepy mountain town with a very Twin Peaks-y vibe.
The jarring end was something I kind of expected but was still a bit shocked by it's abrupt cliffhanger.
I kind of knew it was coming when the bank scene dragged on hilariously for what seemed like a quarter of the episode. I was also worried it'd be a Bob Newhart ending where Cooper wakes up and is like "What a weird dream!" and Harry and Hawk find Annie and everything is a-ok. So the toothpaste Bob mirror meltdown was a better alternative to a rushed resolution.
The intensity of the black lodge scene was payoff though. That line "See you in 25 years" gave me chills...I had no idea that the new season corresponded with that!
So besides watching Fire Walk With Me is there anything else I should check out before the new season? I was skimming the internet and this thread and apparently there were some books and deleted/missing scenes released as well...
Besides Fire Walk With Me with all the deleted scenes, there is one book that a few people recommended in here but I still haven't read that (forgot the title, but it's a few pages back on here). However, there is going to be an official book about the history of Twin Peaks, written by Mark Frost himself, coming out in 50 days:

Oh shit, I really didn't plan it but I finally finished watching season 6 last night... Was getting quite into it again after giving up on it last year. Had no idea the new season would premiere last night!
Also: most of s6 was actually quite boring and/or meh but I just binged my way through it all in one week. It did have about two decent episodes overall?
