  1. Yeah! Family-Rave!!!!!  :spiteful::w00t::yeah::nacmat:  :blink:  :wtf:  :wtf:

See U on the floor ! You,ll recognize me by my unique combination of:

Hysterical maniacal laughter, euphoric high pitched screaming, dangerously unpredictable spastic displays of my personal often misunderstood and notoriously hated "Macarena-LineDance-GandamStyle-Mashup-freedance-interpertations" while lying on the floor, crying shamelessly in fetal position, allround irresponsible intrusive failing attempts to "spread the love"  And of course the traditional group of annoyed, confused and angry paying festival visitors standing in a circle around me begging DJ Latte to leave....

See U there! :D (approach with caution)

    Just your average Dutchman :dadjoke:

  2. Everything ties perfectly. Even the lynchian moments have so much stuff behind them - this is pure archetype Jungian delirium. There is no need to analyze it, just open your mind and try to connect with yourself. This is the most lucid and artistic introspection into the darkness/lightness of human mind ever attempted imho. The form is perfect, the substance is relevant and strong. Lynch is probably at his peak here and I love him for that. I'm enjoying the hell out of it, and I'm happy that someone is willing to explore the less known or appreciated realms and bring them on screen.

edit: The meeting of Cooper and Gordon is brilliant and terrifying

    20/10

Great way to describe it, another +1 here.

  3. Just saw all four episodes after eating some cherry pie and drinking some coffee like a horrible fanboi. This was beyond expectations, my minds just been fucked in the worst and best way possible.

So I watched the four this morning and already feel a STRONG urge to rewatch everything. What a sprawling amazing thing. Every scene is captivating.

The horror is truly unsettling and the comedy is unlike any other. Its a hit baby!!!

lol at James "has always been cool".

    lol x 2

Seems a lot of people on twitter, Reddit and other places aren't happy that there isn't more background music.

Personally, I got tired of that same slow motion jazz theme that seemed to strike up everytime a woman came on screen in the 1990 series.

This new work is much more effective with Lynch just doing the sound design. You can have too much music, effectively ruining the whole thing.

+1, this was Inland Empire style in the best way possible.

That first ten minutes of part three - absolutely bizarre. Never seen anything like that.

+ absolutely fucking 1. This was so beyond everything I can't even.

it hasnt pandered to its own nostalgia either, seething into some truly malevolent directions

    hail praise Lynch

    +1

but in the end this thing feels like his magnum opus. it's basically everything he has ever done, or would have wanted to do, rolled up in a tv series.

  4.

    nice ^

    also...

"Richard will you upload more old tracks to soundcloud?"

"no but another plan is comin soon.."

    Gotta be a Bleepstore surely?

When I see "plan" I don't interpret that with another album, but something more in the line of soundcloud but different...

That's what I mean. I reckon all (or most) of the Soundcloud material will be uploaded to a Bleepstore with lossless downloads enabled. Obviously, not all of it would be mastered as there's like what, 270-280 tracks? But maybe the best stuff will make an official Chosen Lords-esque compilation, as a bit of a taster like clarktrent suggested.

Also I bet all of Rich's out of print Rephlex stuff will be up on there too. Digitally, not repressed.

@user18081971: ive got really good audio of this that will make its way into the world soonish

  5. They made at least $1,700 from Level 16 on bandcamp if everyone paid the minimum.

Has he considered selling the product people want instead of begging for money otherwise?

I'm not their accountant but the money made through that bandcamp would probably go to Aleksi? These are two seperate things? I think the money issue talked about is about the festival ( still for sale though; http://colundi.net/security-unconvention.php ) and the money people gave for chipping in for a second piece of land that was spoken of a few months ago? I hope it's all sorted by now though...

It's weird this braindance drama happens right after that Rephlex article on Bandcamp too.

edit: he's still on twitter anyway: https://twitter.com/rephlexrecords - maybe it's just a temporary break? Whatever, as long as Aleksi will keep on doing his thing anyway.

  6. was listenning to the last legowelt release on new york haunted and...this track remind me colundi vibes things...:

    https://newyorkhaunted.bandcamp.com/track/nyh80-04-coverti-world-pier-schateiland

    what do you think?

I hear what you mean, I think it's more of a case of being inspired by the same sources (I mean Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, etc.). This new Legowelt sounds very influenced by Unit Moebius again this time too, which is good.

heh. is there a thread / post on here that talks about the scale? i mean, i get that it's different and it sounds cool and is based on pulsar souls or whatever, but i'd like to know some more technical / music theory stuff.

This interview is worth a look.

Having read this now, two weeks or so after having first heard Alexi Perälä's "Mental Union" and parts of "The Colundi Sequence Vol. 1", I will have to consider well if I want to continue supporting something like this. Whoever compared it to a cult was accurate. I recommend anyone to reconsider too whether they want to be associated to something like this. There are past precedents. And something else just came to mind. About two years ago, Richard D. James was interviewed by the Guardian, where he implied that the September 11 terrorist attacks were carried out by the US government. It may not be connected, but you cannot deny that there is now not an imminent risk to their work, where their music is being compromised by these supposed inspirations leading to closing down a relevant label, plans to purchase land to build a community and who knows what else.

    lol

P.S. Grant just archived the colundi facebook group, as in locked the whole forum. What now?

  7. It seemed kinda convenient he was sure Jimmy would come over, what if he just called Chuck and screamed at him thru the phone? Chuck would be stuck again, either record someone without their consent, or it would be his word against his, etc.

    Well, that's because it's NOT REAL. It's just a SHOW. MAKE-BELIEVE.

    :dadjoke:

  8.

Chuck was trying to get his lackey's fingerprints on the tape recorder, right?  I'm not sure what for, as Hamlin told him it would be useless in court.  Unless he's trying to get Jimmy disbarred with some fabricated scheme?

this ep seemed to go a long way to travel a short distance, still love the Cinnabon stuff.

I wasn't paying attention much during this episode, also I was quite out of the loop on basically every plot from season 2 so I might be wrong, but I think he intentionally got Ernesto to listen to that specific bit with the knowledge that Ernesto will spread the word and take action, so that this evidence is more believable in court (as opposed to just bringing out this evidence out of the blue). Hence the way Chuck overreacted about it? I dunno.

Guess I nailed it. Sort of. :dadjoke:

Good episode. I'm back on track now, very into it again.
