  1. I remember (from two seconds ago) that this thread was locked, but it's not locked, because I just posted in it. :psyduck:

Must be unprecedented ripples in spacetime because I REALLY locked it last year already.

  2.

Powerline adapters are the shit. It does have hiccups from time to time, which mightn't be the adapters' fault, but from wifi to this my connection is now 10x faster. Mines are from Netgear btw.

Same, I got adviced not to use them by a friend who is an expert on that stuff
Why is that ? Does it mess too much with the current ?

I'm not really sure what he was on about but I think it's because it's quite a temporary half-solution as opposed to pulling a few wires through the house. You still end up with a wire in your laptop and it's still not as good as a direct connection (and they are relatively expensive compared to just a wire or two).

Same, I got adviced not to use them by a friend who is an expert on that stuff. I ignored him and still bought a sitecom one and it works unbelievably well. It drops out from time to time but no real big issues.

  4. Would a Field Day LP for TECH-004 be a fair trade?

Field Day LP is worth a lot more to me, 30+ minutes of new exclusive music for a gig I was at versus a 10" (was it really a 10" even?) of two tracks already released on soundcloud, of which one is a rendition of a Gerald track. I mean, I'd like to have the TECH-004 but I'm also fine on missing out on it to be honest :)

  5. just my 2 cents and not an engineer but 24 tsim is 303k VBR and Gerald is 320k in the soundcloud dump and both sound fairly good as MP3s.

doesn't seem far-fetched to make a fair or good sounding bootleg just from those files with minimal massaging or conversion, theorically.

in the absence of more information, the use of ''Aphex twin'' moniker and no legal mention of '''Aphex'' used by courtesy of Aphex Systems'' on packaging as far as I can tell would indicate bootleg to me, sanctioned by Richard for private use at best. doesn't feel like an Aphex Twin release.

Oh for fucks sake, do you even know who released this? It's not a bootleg. Deal with it.

  6. Seems much but it's a big fucking box, and considering how much I paid for all the digital albums over the past few years this seems pretty fair. Definitely worth it for me anyway.

    Also:

"conscientious retailers have bid for some of the stock. so any payment beyond their RRP will be refunded to high bidders over that, unless you wish to make a node/event donation."

"those paying over average will receive exclusive secret ltd bonus sensory artefact."
