I envy you. Don't know why but I didn't take to Ceephax shows until 2018. I think he got a little more mellow these days. I love him just as much, but the energy in these older gigs is something else. Did you have a good time? Also, how did he end up on that rooftop? What was the occasion?

It was just a poolside gig on a hotel rooftop in downtown LA. He was the occasion. It was a great time. I think there are more videos out there from that night. Only hiccup was that he was having some strange issues with his master sync or something and occasionally things would go a bit haywire. He seemed to get a little upset but ultimately rolled with it. He’s such a chill dude. I also got to have a good long chat with him afterwards. He was super approachable and friendly. I think we are also the same age so maybe that made it easier but we clicked and it was rad.

  2. Saw the Barbie movie tonight. It definitely was punk as fuck to drop all of the REALITY (not just feminist theory) in the audience’s lap and let them decide how to handle it over the course of 2 hours. It was super fun and fresh. My only major gripe is that they could have found someone better than Will Farrell for his part.
Side note: I was taken out of the movie more than a few times by uncomfortable, wannabe-alpha-males grumbling things like “fuckin stupid” or “stupid bullshit” in their seats behind me (one of which was a big muscle-bound dad who was wearing a plastic crown (I’m assuming because he was with his daughter and thought it would make her happy to dress up for the movie, like many are doing). The dad with the crown also left for a long time in the middle of the movie to get refreshments and also was the first person out of the theater when it ended, leaving his family behind. There was also a very conservative looking couple who, as soon as the credits rolled, shot for the door saying “let’s get out of here… I hate (indescribable)”.
If (certain) people are hating it so much then it’s definitely doing something right.

  4. Lump sum / annual payments?

Blaze of glory / financial planner?

    What would you do?
    What would you buy?

The current mega-millions jackpot is up to $1.25 billion. Can’t win if you don’t play, right?

I would like to think that I would be smart and responsible to an extent, but I would also like to see how the 1% lives a little.
Probably would make sense to do the annual payments ($41-42m per year for 30 years) as long as I can ensure that the money gets put into a trust for my toddler for when they grow up in the event of an untimely demise.
With that kind of money you basically win the lottery every year though, which sounds pretty stressful. I don’t know. Either way, I know I would definitely invest in real estate and do a fuck ton of traveling. Eat well. Start a scholarship or two. Build a dank ass studio. Probably take up oil painting or sculpting.

Whatever. It’s not likely that it would ever happen. I won $2 in the lottery once and I just bought another ticket.

I guess you're joking, but looks like a fun b-movie anyway

Not joking at all. It’s intentionally styled to look like a B-movie… made in 2016 looks like it was made in the late 60s. The director is female and big time into feminist theory.

  6. Instead of going to see Barbie or Oppenheimer, I went to see this…

    spacer.png

It has something like 95% fresh on RT.

Super creepy. Really great performances from a group of super talented Australian teen-ish actors. Guest appearance from Miranda Otto (Arwen Éowyn from LOTR… and she kills it).
    Go see / 10
