Theo Lengyel, Founding Member of Eureka’s Mr. Bungle, Arrested in Connection With Girlfriend’s Murderhttps://lostcoastoutpost.com/2024/jan/2/theo-lengyel-founding-member-eurekas-mr-bungle-arr/
QuoteTheodore “Theo” Lengyel, a founding member of the revered experimental rock band Mr. Bungle, was arrested today in Capitola in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, 61-year-old Alice “Alyx” Kamakaokalani Herrmann, according to a press release from the Capitola Police Department.
Lengyel was among the Eureka High School students who formed Mr. Bungle in 1985, along with lead singer Mike Patton, who went on to front ‘90s alt-metal band Faith No More, among many other musical projects over the years.
Lengyel, who played horns and keyboards with Mr. Bungle, split with the band in 1996 due to “creative differences.” He sometimes used the name “Mylo Stone,” according to the Capitola Police Department.
Kamakaokalani was last seen nearly a month ago, and until today Lengyel was considered merely a “person of interest” in the case. A multi-agency law enforcement investigation led to the discovery of human remains in a public park in Berkeley, according to the CPD press release below. Positive identification is pending DNA analysis.

I saw one of those on the road this week. I actually thought it looked kinda cool until seeing it in person. It’s like a gigantic metal brick on the road. It also shows dust and dirt pretty bad.

Don’t RTR me bro!
I was pretty sure I posted in a thread about SIF in the past AND actually searched “stone in focus” (with and without quotes) before posting but the only result was the thread we are currently posting in.
The search function is gaslighting me left and right these days. -
I’m surprised that there isn’t already a thread about this song. One of my favorites of his, by far. I think I came upon it a bit late, as well, but still probably 15-20 years ago. Such a perfect tune.
I own one physical release of this, on this bad boy…- 2

Always wanted one. Daniel Lanois uses one a lot. I think it is featured heavily on his soundtrack for Sling Blade, which is fantastic.

yeah, I really don't like Cradley Booper.
I agree. Something about his brand of leading man is so overconfident, plastic and boring.
Tho I think what work’s about Maestro & A Star Is Born is that his characters in both aren’t necessarily likable. I genuinely liked both quite a lot and couldn’t really stand any of his other films.

Pitcard @ 1:35-1:55 when his sync clock starts drifting so he stops and starts a few times until it syncs up. Happy accident that really elevates the track in an organic way. One of my favorite analords, by far.
Serge Fenix Rendered 2 @ 2:40-2:58 where the 4 chords come in. It’s right near the end of the dance floor banger and it creates a melodic counterpoint that colors everything that your ears had heard prior. Brilliant and so reserved/disciplined.

Saw Maestro last night. It was actually incredible. People are going throw all the awards at it, but they are earned. It’s not a traditional biopic, which is a big relief. I normally don’t like Bradley Cooper but he made a hell of a movie. A great movie for musicians to watch, as well.

thanks!
I just noticed that thread is LOCKED! Wtf? That makes zero sense. I guess this could be the new thread?? -
I’ve searched a million different ways with different variations of “Awesome”, “amazing”, “favorite” / “AFX”, “aphex”, “RDJ” and can’t find it.
If you know where it is please let me know so I can lock this. Otherwise, I’ll just make it the new one.Unfortunately, it got robo-locked, probably with one of those site migration things. -
