  4. If you hate on µ, remember Expert Know Twiddlers. If you hate on that too, die.
  5. Alright I'm a little confused here - how could he have made the album without even using an EQ? You can't rip stuff from VHS and expect it to sound anywhere near CD or even MP3 quality ... ?
  6. Philipp ‎(14:40): VHS Head supporting the taste of the buffalo-cheese in my mouth
  7. I'm witnessing a TV-shoot for a stupid boulevard format. They drive a woman in her mid-40's around in a car, once in a while they pull over and get out, take her to a small forest next to the Autobahn. She has to stand on a hill, between some birch trees. They ask her questions, how does it feel, are you comfortable? She says it's alright, but uneasy. A couple hundred meters away from the scene, the woman's two small sons are given binoculars to watch their mother from a distance. She knows about this. Then they get back into the car, drive further, up a hill of sorts. They pull over again, repeat the procedure, then drive further up the hill. The third time they pull over, some things have been changed. The camera crew is wearing vintage clothing. A man in a red three-musketeers-hat is now standing behind the woman, fucking her. She has to keep a straight face during the process as she is still being watched through the binocular. The final time they pull over, they have reached the tip of the mountain. The street continues down into what could be an underground parking lot. There's a huge wooden construction built around the entrance. Somebody says the woman is supposed to stand on top of it and sing a song by Kylie Minogue. She denies. I climb the construction, 20 meters, there's a microphone on a stand there. A thought comes to my mind, I want to make the crew guys laugh. I take the mic and sing: "There is wood here, there is cars. I can smell the autogas" It's the melody from Pink Floyd's The Wall. Later that day, a campfire has been lit on top of the wooden construction. The whole crew is sitting around it, chairs arranged in a circle. They eat: Greasy oversized french fries with too much salt, french fries made from wine gum ("Saure Pommes") with real salt, and waffles. The waffles are so thin it takes them about 10 seconds to reach the ground when you drop them. The man sitting to my left is crying and tries to hug me. He talks about being overwhelmed by the great shoot and how everything went down that day. Fair enough, I guess.
  8. Yeah, in the beginning, my brain used to call it a day after about half of the album. Probably due to the sheer amount of different stuff on the whole thing. But there are many great bits there to be found as well. The album kinda comes to a slow end with the last three and a half tracks, as opposed to ending with a big Ziggomatic kind of track, but that just makes me want to re-play it more. The overall composition/order of tracks is pretty much perfect anyway.
  9. Is it related to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uknDkAw-tU ?
  10. use a little audio recorder, cellphone, mp3player, whatever. It's much better to record your spoken words. When you write something down, you have to gain too much consciousness to pull it off, and forget half the stuff in the process. Talking in semi-sleep enables you to record while you're still half in the dream, especially when you've programmed yourself to switch on the recorder next to your bed once you wake up automatically. I often record things and don't remember them few hours later. Then when I play it back I'm either like wtf or the memories come back while I hear it.
  11. it's been fatally wounded but it just can't seem to stop struggling, unwilling to accept its fate ... ps: album of the year nonetheless
  12. There are rumours going on that the image is Super 8 (J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg's new movie) viral marketing. That would be kinda cool but it just looks too bad for that to be true... Honestly, how could you think it was real, it doesn't look real at all ... But when I tried to hit the H for Honestly, I hit J twice by accident, maybe THAT was the marketing campaign
