    Rake - aussie crime drama (i guess). Fairly generic premise of morally misguided, well meaning criminal defense lawyer - channeling a bit of McNulty. I'm usually resistant to Australian tv which i know is a stupid attitude but I actually find the characters to be nuanced and evolving enough to save this from being just another crime series shaking the morality stick. It also doesnt shy away from some of the glaring hypocrisies of Australian culture - it airs on ABC, which is our government funded/ non commercial station -and for the most part itleaves these topics (eg race riots, misogyny) open which I like . Ie. it never really 'passes judgement' by the end of it. Pretty ggood I would recommend.

    Just to clear things up: Gingersnap is the app that gives you root access (I used unrevoked), this then allows you to flash custom firmware (for example Cyanogenmod). But yeah it goes make things snappier - though be careful sometimes a later version does slow things a touch on older phones. I recently upgraded to 7.2.0.1 on my HTC Desire but it ended up taking ages to boot (plus lost the ability to move stuff to the EXT partition) so then downgraded to 7.0.3 and all was good again ! ah ok I used UnlockRoot23 or something to root the phone, then downloaded Gingersnap 1.4 ROM tbh I didnt really know what I was doing for most of it but it all worked out in the end also I'm really enjoying the Dolphin browser. thanks to whoever mentioned that one

    Finally managed to root my Optimus One and wow does it run faster now. Got gingersnap which is cyanegenmod7 or something. So good to get rid of the bloat ; apps that didnt even work anyway.

    What do you do well + like + people want + is in demand + gives you money? I recently decided to cut the philosophy/culture/sociology buffet and go for a TESOL/CELTA degree which sounds like it'll break me but it beats speculation I guess. Edit: @logakght

    I was planning on trying Spanish in the near future. No idea how difficult it is compared to others but it's always stuck out for me. I'm learning Spanish learn Spanish, it's awesome
