  1. We should go out of our way to stand up for minorities, after all if we don't, who will?
  2. so will no racism mean no interracial porn? Not sure I can get behind that...
  3. I'm thinking of finally getting into racism, where should I start?
  4. I think you'll find Chapelle quit comedy because he went crazy. But then so did Jim Carrey. He's white btw.

    im done

melbourne. quite a retirement area from what i saw. suits me fine. im sick of this frantic rushed dirty selfish dangerous city unfortunately the last 3 adjectives apply to much of Florida, too
  6. treale is a great track, though I don't find the end as special as many seem to. For me it's all about the short bit from :44 to 1:03, that's like a robot "call-and-response" that is brilliant.
  7. AFX's "Canticle Drawl" gives me this, it's like licking a 9-volt battery. psychedelics merely make my teeth feel funny. though i believe in modern medicine, i feel that white coat hypnotizes people a tad too much.... first time coming down from a majorly over-the-top, bubble-bursting mushroom trip I felt like the entire front of my face - tongue, sinuses - was filled with that coppery sensation. I searched inside my friend's fridge and happened to find a bag of apricots, they tasted like the best thing in the world and made the coppery sensation go away. So, I recommend apricots.

    seinfeld

never liked seinfeld, I feel deficient
  9. this is my favorite ae album. I think it represents the perfect balance between accessible and off-putting ae. It's its own little ecosystem. Lovely, and nuane is the perfect closer.
  10. yeah the oversteps cover is a pile of shite. I think if you plopped the Untilted cover on this one it'd be more appropriate. It needs some sort of organic-but-techy and intricate colorful thing.
  11. hm, review was so-so, seemed like the first time he'd ever heard of an ae fake and couldn't contain his excitement. Hell, there was an album-length boc fake during the redmoon debacle (and I think pre TCH, though I never heard it). Fakes and electronic music go hand in glove, certainly isn't unique to ae.
  12. you have rather large and possibly strangely positioned ear canals.
  13. at least this time when people heard the real leak most said "this is autechre." The reactions to the Untilted leak were hilarious.
  14. agreed. oversteps is somehow a good "summation" album. Also I have to admit I really dig how accessible and emotional it is. There are some really lovely spots on the album.
  15. i'm surprised at all the love for Untilted, I guess for many of you that was your first Ae album. I really think Chiastic was their best, some of the tracks do go on "too long", but I think that adds to the hypnotic vibe. That whole album has a very special feel to it imo. LP5 hit me like a shotgun blast to the face the first time I heard it, but it's a bit accessible compared to other Ae so I think it grows familiar too quickly. Nevertheless, I think it's probably tied for their best album. Confield is a very powerful album but I think it loses points for not having any vulnerability. It's monolithic and intense and fucks with your head, but those aren't the only things I'm looking for. Draft is mainly about the attention to detail and sound design, as far as the actual "songs" they are a bit weak imo. It is a good album but sort of hard for me to enjoy. And to this day I don't get people gushing over Surripere, I think I'm never going to "get" the second half.
  16. Damn it, I knew this would go off the rails, ok here's mine: 1/2: Chiastic Slide/LP5 3: EP7/Envane/Cichli Suite 4: Oversteps 5/6: Confield/Draft 7.30 7/8/9: Incunabula, Amber, Tri Rep++ as long as it has Garbage and Anvil Vapre 10/11: Amber/Untilted 12: Quaristice
  17. lol, Tri Rep didn't even make your list. Putting Chiastic that low is criminal too.
  18. Then he will reach for his pistol with trembling fingers
  19. I think it's their best since Draft, and it is their most friendly album hands down. The asperger-y chilliness that has been there since Incunabula is pretty much gone. It sounds like they are just having a lot of fun being weird. There is no way anyone could call this album pretentious (apart from maybe the track names and cover art).
  20. LP7????????? But yeah this does remind me mostly of LP5, with hints of Quaristice here and there. lol, ep7, sue me. I was listening to it when you were in kneepants
  21. back on topic, this is a really sweet album. Love qplay and Treale. Treale has some of Ae's best stuff going on in it. Mostly I just love how inviting the album is, I actually enjoy giving it repeated listens, that hasn't happened since LP7 for me.
