  1. I've been living in Atlanta for 2 months and I'm already sick of this shit. Lil Wayne, Gucci Mayne, and the thousands of other wannabees vomitting autotuned, lazy, unintelligible vowels over an 808 beat need to fuck off forever. Get this shit off my stereo.

  5. This pilot was brilliant too. Maybe darabont should have directed all the episodes...
  6. I saw the episode , and it was awesome. (i insulted you about the spoilers because i thought you already read the comic [because in the episode we only see a whisper , he doesn't mention pregnancy]) You are one of those guys that want to be smart by pointing out ILLOGICAL thing in FICTION I have not read the comic, that last bit about his wife and shane was speculation. I am all for suspension of disbelief for entertaining fiction. Hell, I thoroughly enjoyed Sunshine despite it occuring in an alternate reality where none of our universe's laws of physics/heat/gravity/reality apply. This episode was excessively melodramatic, and they keep doing the same tropes over and over. Person has a weapon, person is angry, person tries to attack another person, someone holds them back. This happens over and over and over in the series, mostly with Norman Reedus' character. Eventually you start rolling your eyes going "Yeah, we get it, Daryl's a loose cannon." Also, Exposition For Dummies isn't a problem with fiction or bad science or suspension of disbelief, it's a problem with bad writing. Good writers and actors can let information trickle to the viewer so they have the same realization/revelation at the same time as the character's supposed to. Having one person explain "This is the way it is." and then having another character repeat the exact same thing and say "Oh, I see, this is the way it is." or "You mean, this is the way it is?" is realllly shitty writing, and implies that us viewers are so dumb that when he says "my wife" and points at the screen, we thought he was talking about someone other than TS-19. It makes me roll my eyes no matter what show or movie or book it takes place in. I'm not even going to get into how it seems like most of these characters sound like they're reading this dialogue off a script page for the first time in their lives. Having not read the comics, I can't say whether or not the dialogue is as stiff in it. I think the appeal of this show, and why I will continue to watch it, will be to see the societal and dramatic scenarios explored in a long-form post apocalyptic serial, stuff that can't really be touched in a 1.5 hour long horror movie. (although 28 days later did a fantastic job of exploring many of these ideas competently and intelligently during its runtime) As much as I was entertained by it, and look forward to where they go with it, I can't deny that the writing has been exceptionally shitty at times. And not in the nitpicking nerd style "omg the enterprise could have just used their backup photon shield" way, in the "wow this is flat out shitty dialogue and real people don't talk this way" way.
  7. I'm assuming that, because you're upset by spoilers, you haven't seen the last episode. (Why are you reading a discussion thread about it then? There's bound to be spoilers.) Thus, you have not yet witnessed what a pile of shite the last episode was. Thus, I am more qualified to complain about it than you are.
  8. I really dug the first 5 episodes but the last one irritated me. The 10th time they had to hold somebody back because they were angry and had a weapon. "We don't kill the living." Stop Daryl from freaking out yet again. Stop Shane with the shotgun. The character-repeats-the-revelation-for-people-who-can't-discern-it-for-themselves. "I did it for my wife...her..." *points to screen* "So, TS-19 was your wife." And I'm pretty sure the CDC doesn't explode if it loses power. Can't confirm this though. Why didn't they just pull the plug on the generator so it couldn't power the computer to blow them up? Despite all this, I eagerly anticipate season 2. (CDC guy told Rick his wife was preggers and it's Shane's, he found out from the blood test)
  9. I'm totally feeling this release. Late to the party on it. I think it's better than everything NIN did after 'With Teeth' combined.
  10. The Dub part has to do with the filthy wobbles which come from classic Jamaican dub music.

  16. This is how you do the heavy wobble thing and make it interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaDHJMmJZRc That "Puppet Walk" track pretty much encapsulates everything I hate about the myriad of current generic dubstep. It's the kind of song people make when they watch a Youtube tutorial on how to make a wobble but don't actually have an idea for a song.

  18. You guys seriously don't get sick of hearing the same old wobbles...the same structured buildups/drops/breaks? That track is very....generic dubstep.
  19. Gotta have heavy hitters in the proverbial record bag, and I'd prefer they were mine. ;)
