  1. The Rolling Guns 'n' Stone Roses
  2. 1990, isn't it? Technically, considering there is no year zero in our calendear, 1990 is the last year of the 80s.
  3. Ditto! Which ones? I actually like R.E.M. more than U2 overall, though my favourite REM album isn't one of their IRS records. I pretty much dig all their albums up to 1992, but the "college" years are what I consider their most special. Yeah, absolutely essential. However, the one album that is guaranteed to bring tears to my eyes on half the tracks is Paul Simon's Graceland.
  4. Norwegian cover band called Young Neils. And a Creedence cover band called Young Fogertys.
  5. Up its own ass is the 80s Zeitgeist. REM have three or four albums on my top 100 80s albums, too.
  6. Comparing The Cure to U2 in terms of corporateness demonstrates a complete lack of proportion. That's like Slayer vs. Metallica.
  7. I'm going on record saying that The Cure have at least four albums on my top 100 80s albums.
  8. Ridiculous question, impossible to narrow down to even 20.
  9. Staul Panley Scene Gimmons Creter Piss Free Aceley

  11. Dead Congregation are great.
  12. Of course! Heard Napalm Death on the radio in 1988 and that was it.
