I guess I better check out this Evil Dead movie. I kind of ignore every single remake ever made. For obvious reasons.

Time will tell. It won't be good unless there is decent script and decent actors not doing numpty things in outer space. And the two words Ridley and Scott also bothers me.

Finished Slow Horses season 3. Still great, though the comedy side of things may of got slightly too silly at times, verging on the ridiculous. However I still think it's the best thing I've watched in ages.

Can imagine having a few too many beers this Saturday and buying one of those Holiday Acid shirts (in athletic grey)

Watched Napoleon. It was free on Apple+. When I saw the trailer I was quite impressed, but then I'm almost 50, so by now kinda wised up and sceptical to the mind trick that is a brilliant trailer. Like perhaps Alien Romulus. Anyway it's hard to rate it really. The battle scenes looked incredible with good direction from Mr Scott (very Gladiator) but every other detail seemed shallow and empty. I didn't really learn that much. Just a lot of prancing about with no depth of story and some posturing, whimpering and mumbling by Mr Phoenix. I understand it's kind of impossible to do his story justice in a 150 minute film, and I think therein lies the massive problem. To be honest I got the impression that we were just in fast forward mode to get to Waterloo. That I think would have made a better film, and perhaps the film the Ridley Scott wanted to make, but I guess an Englishman just making a film about Napoleon and his defeat would have seemed odd. Just my opinion, I'm not a film boffin. probably give it a 6/10

Super track. And hit repeat as soon as it finished.

When the head honcho of Twoism enters the bandit country of Watmm making fairly big statements like this, then I'm fairly optimistic.
One thing to be certain of, with the massive amount of time it's taken, combined with their talents, I have zero worries about it being fucking crap- 1

If you don't know this is a great track from his band Fridge before he went solo. When he was a teenager.

To acid1. I've been listening to him since Pause in 2001. He use to get quite decent reviews in the NME (they called it Folktronica as music papers loved to label stuff back in the day) and I went on a whim and bought the album. I think he's always had big crossover appeal. I know a lot of indie fans listen to him, whereas I think Aphex is probably way too leftfield for your average indie pop/rock fan. Since then he's consistently put out decent music and to be honest easily deserves his 4.2 million Spotify listeners.

Excellent work here. Pretty much all killer, no filler. Don't think there's a naff track on it. If there is, I'm yet to find it.

Listened to Ministry's Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69 a few weeks ago. They still sound great to these ears. Might give Filth Pig another spin but I never really vibed with that one.

I could be tempted to sell my original Warp copy. After all it's only sitting on my shelf not doing particularly much. Maybe it should find a new home. One of the reasons I don't sell, is because I feel I have some sort of Aphexian relic in my house. And I like that feeling. Even though I'm not really an ultra materialistic sort of person. I guess in this day and age of streaming music it feels nice to have a Aphex Twin object that is real.

It sounds kinda rock-ish?
Agree that Skater has a 80's AOR vibe. Kinda cool track.

In my mildly inebriated state The Devil that is Spotify influenced me to listen to this album after Four Tet. Hah! I'm actually rather enjoying it. Not bad at all. Hail Satan

Yes this is true Mr Friendly Stranger. I was listening to his remix of Bicep - Opal the other day. Cool track.

Yep folks it's a Four Tet album. Very nice though, certainly seems like one of his better albums. Would be good on a late summers evening with a few beers (or a puff).
Sometimes though I really wanted all Hell to break loose and some Psycho Kraken Beast Man to roar out like a raging thunderstorm
C'MON YOU CUUUNTS LETS HAVE SOME FOUR TET ACIIIIID!!!!
That would be more fun. But that's never gonna happen. Is it Mr Hebden.

Played There Is Love In You yesterday. Still a great album. I think that's my favourite. Gonna play this soon. Not usually that excited about Four Tet albums, maybe just because I'm in a good mood and not at work.

Got a long weekend off and listening to this is my first job after breakfast. Was supposed to be going fishing but that's cancelled. So it's beer, music and not much else. No beer for breakfast but definitely lunch, dinner and supper
C'mon Conehead give me the beats!!

Squids new album is coming out soon, so if there’s no BOC announcement by early spring that means it won’t be ‘till 2024 at the earliest. Jibbering gimps.
