  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e75BUYdZq-g And pretty much most songs Devo covered.
  2. I like Logan Rock Witch. It's sort of out of character for RDJ, but it gives me nostalgia for my days in the homemade instrument/found sound community. It's got that feel to it.
  3. ^I'm not sure if the fact they managed to get something like that to fit in with a bunch of incredibly rare modular synths speaks positively of their skills with sampling, or poorly of their skills with incredibly rare modular synths.
  4. On first listen I thought it had catchy beats, occasional cool sounds, & mostly crap lyrics. Which is how I feel about most NIN songs.
  5. I like that cover art quite a bit.
  6. Makes sense to me. The first three albums have that repetitiveness that scares away non-electronic music fans, & Drukqs has a whole bunch of weird going on. RDJA/Come to Daddy/Windowlicker manage to balance out the two opposing forces.
  7. As I said before, I think this album has the best pacing of any released under the Aphex Twin alias. The older albums all have some tracks that feel too long to me, unless I'm in the mood for APHEX ACID. Drukqs is well paced, but there's so much going on that it's rather draining listening to it all at once (which is how I like listening to albums). RDJA is one of the few half hour long albums I've heard that actually feels like a complete work. It gets in, does it's business, & gets out.
  8. I like it better than the other one. It's not a huge leap forward, but at least it doesn't sound like something made from the With Teeth multi-tracks.
  9. ^Forgot about Donnie Darko. Unfortunately the rest of the score is overshadowed by that emo cover song.
  10. ^Forgot all about the Terminator score. I love those heavily muffled metallic percussion sounds.
  11. Weren't the two tracks RSJ did for him named after Coil songs? I wonder who was responsible for that.
  12. Maybe not one of my favourite moments, but I feel White Blur 2 is worth mentioning for the fact that it manages to play the same five note sequence without pause for over eleven minutes without becoming totally unbearable.
  13. -synth at the start of Pulsewidth -when all the squelchy things come in at the start of Green Calx -the beat change, follow by the pause, at the start of Ptolemy -second track on SAWII. Hard to specify a moment because it's basically the same groove throughout -"AYE!!! *doorslam*" -main melody in Peek -violin/cello buildup near the end of Boy/Girl Song -around 2:45 in Windowlicker, when the new movement starts. Particularly that sort of ominous vocal melody in the background.
  14. The very start of Xtal. It was the first Aphex track I had ever heard, & the first time I became a fan of a musician in less than five seconds.
  15. Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Osore-zan/Doo No Kenbai
  16. Superbad - The Very Best Of Blaxploitation, 70's Movie Themes & Funk Soul Classics
