  1. After listening to Clams Casino - Instrumentals a few times I think the only real issue I have with the album is that Motivation is such a strong track everything that follows just feels kinda like an extended afterglow
  2. Edwin Turdsong - Taco Bell Baby (sampled by Shaft Funk in Harder Better Ass Turd Mongler)
  3. I like District 9 partially because it took some risks & wasn't all hollywood like - main dude is a wimpy moustachioed guy & kind of a huge prick for most of the film, & by the end of it he's a big weird monster living on top of a garbage heap & nothing's been resolved for him. You sympathize with the aliens even though they're big weird monsters who kill people & buy hookers & eat catfood. If I remember correctly the soundtrack mostly consists of whatever happens to be blaring out of random nearby radios.
  4. I can't really objectively rank sci-fi movies in one list. Like, The Matrix/The Thing/District 9 are really clever concepts & fun to watch, Ghost in the Shell/Akira are weird beasts full of amazing visuals & music, & Pi is basically as close to IDM The Movie as we'll get until they make a movie about Aphex Twin teaming up with Ulillillia to create a generative music algorithm that creates basslines dirty enough to overthrow the skrillexian empire And I dug Prometheus/had a few problems with it for reasons people have established many times in this thread. I can't say which sci-fi movie I like best because there's a bunch I like for different reasons
  5. Trent Raveznor - Bro Ken, Year Zerbro, Bros I-IV, Brocial Network OST, The Bro With the Gnarly Tattoo OST
  6. PROMURTHEUS a team of explorers from an alternative future earth made up entirely of bill murrays travels to a distant world populated by muscular albino bill murrays. When they disturb the sacred murraygoo it spawns a foul beast that eventually becomes Garfield the movie
  7. Leonard Cohen - Songs of Leonard Cohen oh god i listen to leonard cohen now i think that means i'm turning old
  8. Boondock Sints Hank Hills Have Eyes Broatia
  9. I'm assuming that any aliens they might have encountered were of the hideous insectoid monster variety because most societal development seems to have come from human scientific progress & EXTREME HARDCORE capitalism
  10. Noticed that too. I watched the entire quadrilogy recently & can't remember any point at which someone mentioned known extraterrestrial lifeforms, or alternatively was all like HOLY SHIT IT'S AN ALIEN
  11. The director's cut will be called Drometheus. The main differences will be a Rastafarian hat with fake dreds photoshopped onto the Engineer, who is in possession of a magical green goo, & people will be all like man have you ever got so high your brain made aliens edit: also instead of sports music the soundtrack will be ska
  12. I find the junkier my studio gets the more tracks I make. Like right now the entire floor is covered in a layer of cardboard boxes with things painted on them, ukuleles, microeconomics textbooks (not sure where those came from but I use them to support my florescent light tube along with a broken accordion & a vcr), a banjo, several ties, & organized Tupperware containers filled with animal bones I found and I'm making a shitload of tracks
  13. Obviously the engineers should of had to play dubstep to activate their space computers. Dropping the bass is the final evolution of music
  14. I enjoyed the movie a lot because when it comes to most things (art, films, music, etc.) I'm more looking at the overall atmosphere than the actual details. And for all its problems in the pacing & script department, Prometheus had atmosphere by the arseload
