I never know that people here on WATMM was into Nathan Fake and James Holdens stuff
They did alot of soft dance music around 2005-2010Border Community helped pull me away from euro trance in the late 90s / early 2000s and start getting into more progressive then experimental sounds.
I think already well documented in another James Holden thread, but his 2002 double-a side on Silver Planet Records, I have put out the light / Solstice, was massive....
There were a few labels around then that were trying something different. Including to a lesser extent SAW Recordings (Satoshi Tomiie's label) and FIRE/ERIF which was Lee Burridge and Cass. Great times.

Blizzards was the pinnacle fake for me; saw him perform live twice with tracks from that album and it slayed. Not convinced by this album yet - feels pretty straight cut. Solid fake, but I like the bombastic adventurous noises of Blizzards. Ill give it time.

Booked a ticket!
I shall figure out how to get there and back at a later date
Hopefully find an afterparty or something
Looking at last years site map, there are 2 main outdoor stages with rolling set times, so probably still a few names to be added but not many. This i like because it means you can see everyone on the bill without fear of clashes. Downside: No options if its someone you dont wanna see.

Top banger of an album, really interesting work. Probably gonna end up on various AOTY lists.

I quite enjoyed the last album "No Geography" and I saw them live on that tour too, was great.
Not bowled over by the new single although the acid squelch that fires up near the end was much welcomed by that point in the track.

Bristol so much easier for me. Glad I didn't grab field day in the end as getting to London from here is a pain. Crowd will be better there too! Sorry LDN

This was so wicked, the drums from the IDM soundtrack were thundering in the theater, Brendan Fraser's Oscar win for an Aronofsky film was well timed, as the theater was pretty full. I totally spaced it was Pi Day today.
Great film, just dug out the dvd from the garage and it's gonna get a spin soon

I had to check it wasn't April 1st.
DJ scotch egg and Shackleton made an album together, and it's coming out on vinyl with Zeke Clough artwork!
Maybe I'm dreaming.
But this could be insane.More info here - https://ra.co/news/78568

I'll give this a listen before passing judgement
He's been hanging out with FourTet so maybe some skills rubbed off

Spaced is so damn perfect. Hilarious and you love all the characters and not a single episode that falls flat.

Yeah, just listened to Oak Bank, very nice. Bleep now have pre-orders up. Very happy to hear this album, if its based on sketches from recent live shows then it should be great, saw him twice last year.
*edit*
the digitals on bleep are cheaper than the tresor bandcamp, even for .wav. I know some prefer the convenience of the bandcamp player though, but you could save a couple of quid over there.- 1

Some bandcamp codes for the aforementioned Demo(n)s release:

Nope. Decided against it in the end. Pretty sad but I think it's for the best with current financial situation and uncertainties

I just wish they would do shirts in colours other than black.
Ive got a fuck ton of black t-shirts and ya know occasionally I wanna rep a different colour

Bit of self promo but I just released a collab album alongside Paul Harrison, formerly of Smell & Quim. Came out on Tone Burst last week with some great artwork accompanying the tape. Proper pleased with how this came out. Noisy abstract weirdness with field recordings and bounced ideas.

Tape sold out at the label but I have a few artist copies to trade if anyone is interested
