Couldn't see a thread so lets get this started.
Strange year for me, really had to dig to put this list together because it felt like no real standouts. But... I guess it shows how weird my music tastes have gone.
Jason Crumer - Thin Ice (No Rent 057) - top ambient/noise/synth business.
Rovox 625 - Cut Into (Steel Gloss 048) - strangely intense drone/crushing noise harsh soft weirdo.
Prurient - Creationist (Hospital Productions) - experimental industrial layers
Busy Microbes - Calling (Woodford Halse 050) - Ekoplekz + Katie English collab album or wonderfully weird bleeps
Organ of Corti - Auris (New Forces 127) - tape loops, synths and bizarro noises in this 3-way collab featuring Altar Of Flies, one of my favourite new finds of 2022.
Himukalt - A Third Fantasy (Found Remains 019) - uncomfortable industrial bangers
Maybe some more to add once I've gone through the few tapes and vinyl i've bought this year (not much, im skint)
Some great compilations / reissues and older stuff released too, but I'll keep this thread as strictly album format released in 2022 for now....

Welcome! I've not been posting too much here lately, but this board kind of runs like the lifecycle of a cicada as we ebb and flow between new autechre albums, rumours of aphex twin albums and re-releases of Hi-Scores by BOC.
Enjoy!

I cannot recommend this series of CD's enough:

Absolute encyclopedia to the amazing sounds across the planet that were going on in the 70s and 80s... chripes, some of this stuff is nearly 50 years old now and sounds better than a lot of the junk that is coming out these days

first episode of Cabinet of Curiousities was decent, a little bloated yet lacking in tension with a number of missed opportunities for its ~45 min runtime. they managed to sneak in a Creepshow reference, at least, this is very much in that vein but trying to be a little more 'mature'
Episode 2 was pretty lame, about rats. Episode 3 (autopsy) was slightly confusing and didn't really hit the mark. Episode 1 was actually the best so far.

Great artist, I still listen to her Fabric mix loads.

It reached season 4 already? Damn. I thought s2 was a right mess in the end, forced myself through it then gave up. Why are TV shows such an expensive hot mess right now.

I'm well behind on Hellebore now, the issues I've got have some great written content. Main issue for me is they felt like too many filler pages of abstract art to bump up the page count and therefore the cost. If it was £3 cheaper and just folded and stapled A4 I'd love the hell out of this. Also, it doesn't really need to be colour either.
Theres a few around at the moment of a similar ilk - Black Dog, Grimoire Silvanus and Weird Walk....
If anyone knows of a proper DIY feel "wyrd" zine I want in.

Watched Memento for the first time in 20 years.
It was actually fine and obviously some ideas within kinda played out again in later Nolan films.
I just think to make it a better film it could have been more graphic / grittier. It played out very PG most of the time which is not what the film was about (revenge fo r ape and murder of wife)

I found a US copy of Adore on 2lp in my collection and apparently they sell for like £100 in the UK. So it's straight on discogs.

Noisily, 4 days in a forest in Leicestershire. Loads of Psy Trance, drum and bass, techno and stuff. It was one of those stupidly hot weekends we had this summer but dancing in the trees was amazing because it was a few degrees cooler.
Also the music was 11am - 4am with no sound restrictions and they had proper good sound systems in place, none of this turning it down at midnight nonsense. Great times were had. Felt exhausted and rejuvinated all at once.
I also worked Supernormal festival this summer which was a completely different beast. Much smaller and with much weirder sounds. Loved it. Surgeon, Sam Kerridge, Hesska, loads of other small names that were amazing. Real DIY feel and spirit.
