Bought a 4k TV today, my vidja has never looked better. RDR2 never looked bad before, but damn is it beautiful in the HDR.

The company I was initially going to intern for last year before I turned them down and took the internship working for the City of Minneapolis, just reached back out to me about an opportunity that opened up.
I pretty much had this job ready to hire me before, and it would get me out of my current job that I'm getting quite sick of, also back to a normal/regular schedule, I'm super excited to meet with their HR manager again!
Update: I GOT THE JOB!!! .. putting in my resignation letter to my current job tomorrow, basically telling them i'll finish out the month. I've got barely any hours for the next 2 weeks because we're in a dead period, gonna cash in all my pto and gtfo!

FLOL when I had my death metal band in college it was a running joke at practices that someone would break into this song... be warming up chugging and shredding away, then all of the sudden *that intro riff*... we found the album that song's from a t aused CD shop once and tried listening to the whole thing... lol, it's SO bad

First real concert I ever went to was the Family Values '99 tour with Korn and Limp Bizkit as headliners, both were in their "prime" and 13yo me fucking loved it at the time...
Pretty sure these vids were from the date I was at at the Target Center...
Sure, both bands have gone to (arguably were always) shit, but at the time this show was pure hype and i'll always have kind of a nostalgic soft-spot for their early stuff, early Korn holds up better than Limp imo. -
made up an excuse to not have to go into work tomorrow, successfully giving myself a full weekend off... hoping to hear back from my job interview earlier this week with good news and quit next week as well.

Those shirts are dumb and overpriced... I wanna see a full length vid of the Jaqapparatus installation, also the supposed full-length audiovisual album he was supposedly working on around the time he was doing tour sets and the Gil Scott Heron video came out. Really, I want to him to just finish and follow through on any major project.

also Endon are grossly underunappreciated. they released a new album last month.
Endon is great, saw them live around this time last year. when they opened for Boris.. it's funny cause they're intense as FUCK onstage then off they're the stereotypical timid japanese dudes. IIRC only the vocalist really speaks English, had a short chat with him when I bought their last album at the booth. Need to hear the new one still.

New Daughters album is out today ... and it's good .
it's fucking amazing, my copy arrived early the other day and I can't stop listening to it! The whole album is brilliant but, the final two... Ocean Song into Guest House, those two tracks are so eerily intense.

I watched Won't You Be My Neighbor, the Mr. Rodgers documentary the other day, that was a great documentary, Fred Rogers was an amazing man.

Crazy hours at my bullshit job and total disregard for work/life balance make it impossible to get anything outside of work done... Need to rant a bit.
Worked a 5pm-6am shift on Wednesday night setting up for a huge event, slept all fucking day then had to work 8:30pm-2am tonight, tomorrow I'm scheduled 12pm-5pm, don't have a day off all weekend.
Well I must have ran over something on Wednesday night, because on the way home my "Low Tire Pressure" warning light came on, back left tire was really low when I pulled in the gas station, filled it up enough to get home but noticed it was low again tonight while leaving for work, definitely a leak somewhere, fortunately my wife let me borrow her car for the night. I called my boss asking if I could have tomorrow off so I could go get my car fixed and at first on the phone she said, "alright I'll see what I can do." But then texted me like 10 minutes later saying, "a flat tire isn't a valid excuse to call in and that they need me to be there, and blah blah plenty of people don't have cars and make it to work... use public transportation or call an Uber...plus your shift isn't til 12pm you could drop it off in the morning and it'd be done by the end of your shift" (not if I want a decent night's sleep, and that's IF i could even be guaranteed to get it in to a mechanic before 12pm, plus I still need to jack it up and put a "donut" on and account for extra time to get there without a car) with the fucking hours I'm scheduled I'm gonna have to wait til Tuesday to get it in anywhere and get a new tire (fuck you Amanda!)
I'm so fucking sick of this job's bullshit, this week is the nail in the coffin, I'm looking for new jobs and planning my exit ASAP. -
Acheivement/Trophy hunting is such a pointless way to play games, take your time, enjoy the game... I thought the story in HZD was rather well written. Good game.

Picked up a bunch of movies to catch up on over Black Friday, watched Annihilation last night (Natalie Portman
)... Really enjoyed it, interesting story/concept and great visuals, all the more unsettling how pretty a lot of it is.. Then there's "the bear scene", fuck that was creepy. Good sci-fi thriller 
Need to watch Ballad of Buster Scruggs sometime this week, I love the Coen Bros and I hear it's a great companion movie to RDR2.
