Electro POP song

Not sure whether i like this or not

but everyone seems to be posting "ELECTRO" tracks

i definitely like it at around 1:50 where a bassline comes in and the beats come back in

another one of those occasional tracks of mine where i can't help but here black girls singing all over (bits of) it

give it a whirl

if you like

lol - i was involved in an argument that raged for approxiamately 10 years about the origins of that tune

i fought the side of tony soper's birdwatch and my mate was all for animal magic with jonny morris

then about 3yrs ago i watched midnight cowboy for the first time in many many years

and i started becoming wildly excited (disproportionately excited in the eyes of my housemates) as soon as the shakers and guitar chords started playing out of the tv. when the flute/synth melody kicked in i just about showered the whole room in mindcum (the sticky secretions induced by braindance)

edit: 5minutes of googling and I've settled the argument of the century

seems i'm not the only person who has been bugged about this tune for years

Tony Soper's Wildtrack was the show

not quite birdwatch but i'm claiming that as a win

god bless the internets

This is tight, you have the clenched bassline just right and the snare snaps like arpanet. Pretty funky stuff man. I like all that string action going on deep in the mix with the filtering. Nice and mellow aswell.

cheers jaffa and everyone

didn't want to make another YLC topic but here is the other tune i made in the same sitting as that one if anyone's interested. Mates seem to like it - i prefer the other personally.

Of the two I prefer Plushas. The synth sounds in this one really appeal to me. Plus when it started off I was reminded of Metallica's song One of all things, and I enjoyed the irony. I think some additional compressing/EQing on the individual tracks would really benefit the mix. Very nice melodies.

this is actually a really good track it just takes a while to get its steam going

Reminded me a little of Jake Slazenger's less obvious electro cuts. Some nice elements in this.
