glasse: no, I am referring to the fact that you have no moral authority to judge who will get into heaven. According to your fairy tales, that is a right reserved for the floaty dude.

troon: think of a law, then try and think of how it could not be socially constructed.

where do the thoughts come from that would think of the law? where do the wantings come from for there to be laws?

what is the energy that powers a cell? (modern science still doesn't know)

i hate to answer a question with questions ..... but there is an answer lodged in there

here is a fair warning. if you don't want to believe, and you think all of it is foolishness, fair enough, but go your way.

however if you get involved in actively mocking, like that landover baptist site does, it will not be forgotten.

:ohmy::unsure::sad:

i am saying this without pointing the finger at or judging any individual person here.

wouldn't it be better to say, i couldn't believe in all of this, but i didn't get involved in bashing it. i cared for me and my own in the best way that i could, and believed what made the most sense to me. my first impulse was to poke a little fun at those websites in the OP, and in my mind i may have a little more than i should. However, and this is dead serious, going out of your way to taunt and mock God directly, and to His face, will be seen as just about as bad as anything you could ever do from child pornography to rape and murder. something to keep in mind.

All sins are equal in God's eyes. So whether you make fun of God, or rape someone it's equal. Plus we're all born with original sin, so we're fucked. Thanks to Jesus everyone gets to lay around on clouds and walk streets of gold and stuff after they die (only if you believe in him though, so if you were born b4 Jesus you're fucked) I'm just glad I was born after jesus, so I could learn how magical he was and be saved by his blood.

edit: oh and, "Judge not lest ye be judged" Christians have a hard time w/ this one since they're bff's w/ jesus and they KNOW they're going to heaven...

the wiki explains the energy and organelles that power a cell?

If you have not read the entries on chloroplasts and mitochondria from there yet, please go back and read them now.

these examples are all the churches way of understanding it (conveniently)

....but not entirely accurately. (twisted just enough to bollix the whole works)

-all sin's are not equal

-we are not all born with sin we can not reverse over time if we do the right thing and know what that is

-Christ came to forgive us for past sin and to give us a new focus (new wisdom) on how to avoid future sin. Christ did not give us a get out of purgatory free card (it's all about distance, not damnation)

-The blood is the life (lifestyle)

- christians love to hide behind the Judgment thing so they don't have to face their i'll issues in their lives together. Admonish, thats the proper word which is supposed to be used.

(Christ talks about taking the large things out of your own life before you attempt to admonish anyone outside of yourself...so you can see clearly first to help others)

troon i sense you have a massive amount of repressed rage.

i have a rage against oppression and mind control and powers which make others suffer for their own greed, powers which take peoples innocence without them knowing it.

i have a healthy rage against the machine yes. .....and its not repressed let-me -tell- you

Troon, many of your beliefs aren't very "Christian" in the traditional sense. You claim to be biblical, but it seems to me you (like so many other people) have taken the bible and meshed it with your own beliefs to create a system that you think is good. While I have no problem with this, many well established institutions would. To each his own  please keep in mind I was brought up Lutheran and had to endure many years of bible and chatechism study (which is where much of my knowledge stems from) to become a member of the church. Shortly there after I realized I didn't agree with much of the church's messages and have not been back for a long time. Have you read the book Living Buddha, Living Christ? It was written on a Buddhist monk that has also studied the bible. It has some interesting views on both religions

-scary word. watch out.... no wonder you got a bad taste in your mouth.

-no. not self-invented, just taking from earlier versions then the modern church chooses to remember.
