Do you like Turkey or not?

In my mind, Turkey is associated with

1: counterfeit goods,

2: ugly young men with crooked eyes who perv on 14 year old girls, and

3: greasy cheap kebab/chicken takeaways which i despise (but eat in anyway).

What do you think of Turkey?

Youve just described all of Middle East!!!!

Where does the #2 association come from??

I love old Turkish music, movies and food. I would love to go to Istanbul someday.

Turks in the UK all seem to be scummy and work in shitty yucky kebab shops and cheap souvenir shops that all sell the same shit.

RACISM LULZ

I will not sleep until I see Constantinople back in christian hands.

There are scummy turks who work in kebab shops, mainly because all the eat is kebabs. Their skin is matted and fetted (all the pores are blocked, no oxygen gets in) and riddled with grease because all they eat is kebabs and drink gin. Their bodies don't get any nutrients. They are fat. Every one i've seen looks like the evil prison guard cop from midnight express

Fascinating country. Istanbul is right up there with Rome and Athens in terms of things to say and general historical interest. Only problem is that too many people want your money. I drove to Istanbul with some friends in summer 2008 and they tried to rip us off at the hotels, at almost every meal, even at the fucking toll booth on the highway. You have to haggle for everything, but as long as you don't mind that then it's awesome.
