Synthesia

I did a search and came up with nada so hopefully not jazz... thought it might be useful to those who are just learning the keyboard. It's kind of like a DDR type game but you can use your midi keyboard :)

Synthesia is a game that teaches you to play the piano using falling notes. No sheet music reading is required. With it, you can:

* Learn to play songs using a musical keyboard connected to your computer.

* Keep track of your progress in every song with per-song scoreboards.

* Slow, fast-forward, and rewind songs while learning new parts.

* Practice left and right hand parts together or separately.

* Try out any MIDI file you can find on the Internet.

* Use it on either your PC or Mac.

Hey! This looks cool. Good stuff.

Now if someone would make up a space invaders with cool tunes using correct keyboard notes to fire the laser I'll be set.

Interesting. This seems like the first musical video game that would actually impart useful skills for performing on the corresponding instrument.

very good idea, and it translates well to the typical piano roll. so it could both introduce someone to playing and acquaint them with a common sequencer type. i could see this popoing out 1.3 billion more electronic musicians in the next 10.4 - 20.012 years
