Heheh. I work in Datchet, just down the road. Datchet is nice though as it has flowers, grass, birds, trees and polite people who don't live in slums.

Slough used to have a very good record shop (dance music/vinyl specialists) now that has gone I am struggling to think of one redeeming feature. Mmmmmm...Nope can't think of one. Well the Rose and Crown pub sells nice Hook Norton ale (Old Hooky), so thats one thing I guess.

gutted. these parts are weird though; thatched-roof conservative chunks inter-dispersed with that particular kind of generic grey non-descript west-london shithole. Slough is one of those few places where the city-centre Weatherspoons is full of old-timer "you're not from round these parts" barflys.

I've only ever used one escalator into a tescos and that was slough, never new it was the biggest tescos, i feel blessed to of been there a number of times. Also, i'm convinced its asian community easily rivals that of anywhere in the north, maybe even Asia.

I scrolled through all pics assuming that the text-description was about the picture below, not above. Some didn't make any sense but I only started to get suspicious when you said you were surprised the dog was not a bench.

On the bright side, there is always plenty of work there. There maybe a recession but at times I have been working 70 hours a week thats 30 hours a week overtime, and the choice is mine if I do it. I know a lot of people round Slough and nobody has ever been out of employment since leaving school, college or university. So it's not all bad.....
