WATMM LONDONERS

this is my favorite picture of my late grandparents taken somewhere in London, i always thought it was near St. Paul's. but looking at the bus numbers (now-a-days) its nowhere near. i would estimate this picture being taken post war - late 40's early to mid 50's

My first instinct would be St. Paul's from Ludgate Hill. Are you sure they haven't just changed the bus numbers?

It's certainly baroque, not that that narrows it down in London.

Ha! didn't even notice the time

Do you know anything about the photo? I'm intrigued as to why your grandparents were being pap'ed on the streets of London.

no idea who took the snap.. my granddad was from poplar so maybe he was up there wooing my nan with a trip to st.pauls or london which she once told me it was scary going to the top, coz of the open staircases, she was afraid of heights. but i never asked them as i was too young to ask and only came across the picture after they both died, which is a shame as i know there would of been a nice story behind it

it was in my photo albums and i always liked the picture, i was fairly sure it was at st.pauls but was 100% now im happy knowing where exactly it was
