(inventive, eh) so if you've spotted something and would like to say "hey!" and point it out to others, then why not post it in here. also, if you've already posted something in the Trademark Ribbons of Gold release thread then bung it on over here too.. if you want. 'cos that topic's gotten mega long now.. and i spose it'd be 'neater' to have it all in the one place. ya get me. :) so, i pointed out probably the most obvious and easy one the other week, in 'Heartbeat in the Brain'. which has a bit from the film 'Teenwolf' in it (i reckon). it was showing on the Syfy channel again only last week... i managed to flick over and it was right at the bit where Scott is changing into a Werewolf for the first time, in the bathroom, lol, and that music is playing. kaini Posted September 27, 2010 Share Posted September 27, 2010 and i think that there's a sample from either killer instinct or one of the mortal kombats in a track. can't place it again, grrr, a low pitched 'OUTSTANDING' or similar... i actually reckon that the reason that gianasi kinda sounds like the field's over the ice (based on a kate bush sample from a track mostly done on a fairlight) is not because they use the same sample, but because the vhs head track samples some more obscure thing... that uses the same fucking fairlight preset. it's wonderfully trainspotterish music, the most so since geogaddi maybe... I don't know if its a sample of Panash, and if it is I don't know whether it was intentionally aimed to those who thought it was Jackson. VHs head. you reckon its just randon imagery rather than the films he's sampled? can't see why that'd be something on his album sleeve the vertical strip that runs down the left side of the left panel for example, looks like film imagery to me also appears to be a train or plane running through the upper part of the left panel ... I'm pretty sure it was one of those psycho killer flicks in the vein of Maniac/Don't Go in the House/Nightmare etc and it's this sort of "inner voice" the protagonist hears inside his head.
