modey Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 It's justified. Photosounder is awesome! It's probably the most accurate audio -> image -> audio software I've used. My only issue with it is that the process isn't fully integrated with say, Photoshop. It's using visual processing effects on the spectrum as evident by the duplicated 'smaller' version of the spectral print going up like that. Are you talking about the harmonics?? That's just how harmonics look. i thought the original poster was talking about a part in this track (and made the wrong assumption that pic was from it) and from working with programs like metasynth it looks like artificially synthesized harmonics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv-JJ2XHba4&feature=related at exactly 1:43 and 1:51 , these sound like spectral effects to me, just split second edits.
