Brisbot Posted August 3, 2014 Share Posted August 3, 2014 I like the way the noise texture in your pad and the sub gel together. You chose a nicely expressive voice sample there too. I do think it needs more variation. At 1:30, it starts to seem to breakdown a bit, but then goes back into the same thing and doesn't change until toward the end with the arp. I'm thinking you could vary the effect of the sidechain on the kick to the arp? Like sometimes it ducks, sometimes it doesn't. It changes later around 2:00, where there seems to be little sidechaining on the arp. How does it sound when you increase the release time on the different sidechain elements? lyst Posted August 3, 2014 Author Share Posted August 3, 2014 Thank you for the feedback, i appreciate it greatly. There are no vocal samples, everything is recorded by me except for the Kickdrum. I was getting sort of drunk towards the end of creating it so don't expect the sidechains to be perfect, lol. I see what you are getting at though.
