It reminds me of Sufjan Steven's first electronic album Enjoy Your Rabbit, with the way you're using the instrumentals :) It honestly reminds me very much of it and might be worth checking out for inspiration! I quite like Sufjan, but he really is something I put on on a special occasion - Enjoy Your Rabbit is maybe the most accessible album of his for me.
