Key Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 Probably one of my favorite LPs of the year. The reviews talk up the oddball sample grab- bag angle but thats only really the interludes. Extremely chunky. its definitely got its straight-faced house slammer moments, like NYC where u b is just so good and buttery smooth. but its also got full tracks where he pushes a sample or texture to its breaking point (moreso than terre or atobe ever do..). Like that one workshop track that repeats whadddup muthafuckas the whole time, he can often pull off something that shouldn't work, but does.
