  1. Yeah, most likely - all the Rephlex stuff was cut at Porky (from 48kzh DAT), but the test pressings were done at 'Orlake', long since closed down.
  2. Don't forget the excellent game The Puppeteer will be available tomorrow for free on PSN+ (in the US only though I think). Excellent game!
  3. You can read the updates here as well: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/watmmofficial/cat023-caustic-window-own-the-legendary-record-by/posts
  4. Yeah, just an update about what happens next (no surprises yet), and that you can now vote to choose which charity should get the proceeds from the Ebay auction: http://forum.watmm.com/topic/83473-time-to-choose-which-charity-will-get-half-the-proceeds-from-the-ebay-auction-of-cat023/
  5. Yeah, and there aren't that many Wii Us out there so it probably won't sell as well as that game usually does... unless it helps pushing consoles... which I don't think it will. Wow, you worked on Super Hot? I'm impressed. GiantBomb has given that game lots of love. Europe/UK is supposed to have a Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle with the game and I think NSMBWU included as well (or Nintendoland).
  6. Except for the crappy resolution on the 3DS. I agree though - Nintendo should ditch the home console market, and make a really powerful portable that can be hooked or AirPlayed to your HDTV. Ditch the extra screen, make it capacitive touch, none of this mushy screen and stylus crap. Thinking about it more, they could introduce it and it really wouldn't cannibalize the 3DS/Wii U markets that much, especially if the new hardware could play either (have an option to show both 3DS screens on the device via software, and ditch the stupid 3D - nobody wanted that to begin with.
  7. I'm glad they finally did this, even though I've already bought the console, because that UI needs a fucking makeover like you wouldn't believe it. It's made with Kinect in mind, but like everything else, nothing should be made with Kinect in mind. I'm not sure how this is possible, but they've made the UI so minimalistic that it's actually hard to find anything... or maybe I'm just a retard, I dunno. Anyway, this means that they'll have to release a new dashboard pretty soon and probably announce it as E3. I read yesterday that some developers have found out that the Xbone is actually more powerful without the Kinect attached, which is fucking hilarious. Yeah, the XBONE OS devotes 10% CPU (!!!!) to Kinect, which cannot be turned off/used by developers - hopefully now they unlock that so XBONE games stop running in sub-1080P resolutions and less than stellar framerates. The Mario Kart 8 reviews are starting to come out - overall positive, but guess what - it's still Mario Kart.
  8. I think you are just too hard on your controllers you will look this post up when you bust your r2 on the new doom joymeng I have never broken a controller in my life, and I was an avid Street Fighter IV player for a period - of course, I used a joystick for that, because playing fighting games with a control pad is like playing a fps with a keyboard and mouse *runs*
  9. No, not at all - the PayPal option will only extend until we have the digital rips ready to be delivered - it will not delay the overall progression of the project whatsoever.
  10. Well, Microsoft is finally conceding defeat and is now selling the XBONE sans Kinect - real kick in the teeth to all the early adopters who begrudgingly bought it despite being 100 bucks more than PS4 on the promise that the integrated Kinect was "essential" and would prompt developers to incorporate it into more games...
  11. Yeah, but the bootlegs don't do well sales-wise due to their illegitimacy. i'm not agreed because this LP is rare & Rephlex compagny lost a lot of if this LP is leaked... Thinking ... the number of people who paid to have it and the number of people who will download it illegally ... for a number of years of illegal download does not equal the number of people who paid ... so the author of this LP will lose a lot of money ... Not really. The "author", who'd be Richard in this context, is losing exactly zero bucks if people torrent the record after the release of the files. Seeing as no one will be able to buy it after the whole process of money gathering it's not that bad, money-wise at least. Exactly - that's another reason I decided to open this up to as many people as possible - the less people who legitimately could own this, the worse the piracy of this album would have been - at least this way as many people as possible get to own it, and Richard gets fair compensation for his work and loses at little as possible to piracy.
  12. Good news, everyone! Rephlex has allowed me to extend the offer of getting a digital copy of the Caustic Window LP for folks who missed out or had issues with Amazon Payments. I'm working on getting a page set up where you can buy a digital copy for the same price as the Kickstarter via PayPal - if you've already pledged via Kickstarter, don't alter or cancel your pledge - this is just for folks who missed out or had problems - don't give me more work than I already have! The URL for the page will be announced soon (probably by the end of the week if all goes well) via the Kickstarter page and here on WATMM. This will probably be available until the digital downloads are ready (probably a few weeks at the most).
  13. Yes, 100% certain (barring the world doesn't blow up or anything) Well, you wait until then, eh? I'll most certainly be all out of fucks to give at that point in time. I am VERY curious about the future of, not only Aphex but also BoC back catalogue. I reckon the "IDM" scene isn't really over yet. Well, BOC I am sure their children (who have the right to the music, see what I did there?) would control it as part of their estate... damn, this convo is getting kinda morbid!
  14. Stay tuned... an announcement will be made soon (here and on the Kickstarter site) for folks who missed out or had payment problems with Amazon Payments.
  15. Then you chose wrong... there will NEVER be a physical release - they never had intentions on releasing it to begin with.
  16. Huge thanks to everyone that made this happen, and Herr Jan for the suggestion that turned into history! For anyone having payment issues, please contact Amazon Payments - here's a help page to get started: https://payments.amazon.com/help/Personal-Accounts?ld=EL-www.amazon.comPA More updates as they become available!
  17. Supposedly that's what is up next. Whatever the next Mario game is, I don't want it to be another Galaxy game. Yes, Galaxy 1 and 2 were awesome, but how about a new idea? Everyone is calling for Galaxy 3, but I don't feel that it is necessary. 2 more than satisfied my desire for that series. I would like something in the vein of Super Mario Sunshine, honestly. I don't mean Sunshine 2, but a huge 3D Mario game that encourages exploration and opening up new areas on an island or something like that. Well, I guess that's all 3D Marios, but you know what I'm saying. But I'm not picky. 3D World 2 would be fine with me. Super Mario 3D world IS a proper follow up to Galaxy 2 - nay, a proper follow up to Super Mario World.
  18. Reminds me of that funny old joke: Man (to woman): Do you smoke after sex? Woman (to man): Y'know, I never looked down there to see!
  19. AATA? ask aphex twin anything thread? watmm would explode QA = Quality Assurance I've been Tweeting at milestones, etc. - I imagine if there will be any interviews, it will be AFTER the Kickstarter ends, tracks are heard, etc. Or not.
  20. WTF is with the background shifting as the guy leans onto the shelf?
