  1. I'll take what I can get ha! But seriously I really hope they drop the full album before the year is over, must have a copy !
  2. ok ok who do I have to kill to get someone to do a fookin Vinyl rip of the version excursion DUB experience?? FFS I wanna hear this thing..?
  3. I like it, maybe not as much as the previous one but this is fine w/ me, I didn't think it would change my life like you guys (kiddin) 7.8/10
  4. I keep checking soulseek to see if anyone has dropped a rip of it but its not as easy from vinyl obviously so doubt one will pop up, wanna hear thissssss
  5. I am dyin to hear it!!! REALLY hope a digital version comes out soon, really liked what I heard..
  6. Out This Friday Finally, a full on return to form - best since the Mark Bell days, and while that album isn't the best one, they took risks and worked with an amazing producer, and SOTU, Delta Machine and Spirit, while all had great tracks, just was going through the motions. This is actually quite sonically interesting again with Gore and Ford doing some dark industrial sounds. I'm 1 listen in and I like this one quite a bit, think I might have to catch this tour after all..
  7. why it's only available via the bluray is dumb, I have it and there's a few tracks I didn't love on the album (mainly You Are The Frequency) but the instrumental ended up being great - I even like the instrumental Home better even tho I also quite like the album/vocal version. There's tracks I'd like to hear what they'd have sounded like with vocals like New Abnormal, but the instrumental bonus is a nice touch and should be made available soon you would think - I'd like a few more outtakes to pop up as well, we'll see.
  8. I'm in the minority, but Blue Album is my fav of everything they've done, followed by the early stuff, then Wonky and Monsters. This new album is in the middle but Blue I put on the most I'd say.. Wish they'd do a small US tour, they did a few dates here for Monsters so we'll see.
  9. Leftfield have announced a very special new release: an entire remix of their acclaimed 2022 album This Is What We Do, titled Version Excursion. The album will be released exclusively on limited edition vinyl (2LP) for Record Store Day. The only way to purchase it is via participating record stores. Each track on the original album has been stripped back, rebuilt and given a new name. “Full Way Round” (feat. Grian Chatten) becomes “Criss Cross Cabbie”, ‘Making A Difference (feat Lemn Sissay) becomes “Citing and Fighting”. The new versions imbue the tracks with an additional sense of late-night headiness and show the depth of Leftfield’s original compositions. Speaking on Version Excursion, Leftfield say, “After we’d finished ‘This Is What We Do’ we started doing some dub experiments on the finished album tracks. Just for fun. “It wasn’t intentional, but the whole thing turned into a radical re-appraisal. They are almost entirely new tracks …it became a complete reimagining. Something for the late night / early morning ravers!”
  10. Speaking for myself, I grabbed the bluray because the company that did it does atmos surround mixes for certain albums, think they've only done it for a few albums so far, and I figured it would be a fun way to listen to it, and it comes w the bonus tracks and the instrumentals and several different mix options, not gonna buy a bluray album often but I have a decent home 5.1 set up so thought it would be a fun way to hear it.
  11. This is all fresh to me, didn't listen to any of the songs minus hearing some of Ringa once - really liking this so far, 4 tracks in, very different than the last one - loved Monsters but this is not like that one style wise at all, glad. Will be nice to also have the instrumentals via the BluRay.
  12. NICE! I'm not gonna have my Deluxe BluRay for a while since it won't even ship till tomorrow so I'll grab a FLAC of the album for now, and also will have to wait on the bonus tracks until the bluray comes in - wonder how many of the bonus tracks Phil wrote..
  13. Bro I'm SURE the Servers that power all the computers responsible for these NFT digital pressings are powered by Greenpeace Solar; We Good! ??? A format for everyone, yeah this is taking a piss a bit too far - dumb AF, but I liked almost all of Monsters Exist and so far only heard Dirty Rat which was a fun change of pace so just hope it's another good album, heard the 3 bonus tracks are as good as anything from the actual album from a buddy who heard em (he's a reviewer)
  14. I am just guessing, but likely the 3 bonus album tracks - The Crane, Year Of The Bat and Lost In Time Guess we'll find out next week or so, glad the Atmos BluRay has the 13 tracks and instrumentals, plus I bet more remixes to come (maybe) and hopefully more later, like 1-2 outtakes/demos like Monsters had..
  15. Looks like the bonus CD is: 1. Dirty Rat (Instrumental) 2. Ringa Ringa (Instrumental) 3. Ringa Ringa (Breakage Remix) 4. Are You Alive (French Version Extended)
  16. Are we pretty sure the 'bonus' tracks on that extra cd are gonna more more than just the 3 extra/bonus tracks? Album is a week or two out and just figured all this would be revealed - I wanna hold out to my 1st listen via the surround BluRay but know that might take a extra week or two to get to me from release date as I believe that company is based in the UK? Hopefully it's shipped on or day before the date..
  17. yeah, and it's almost time for the release date so I was hoping by now all that would be out - just curious what all is coming other than those 3 bonus tracks other than a few remixes which I'm happy to have those as well but wouldn't mind a few more studio tracks. 1-2 more would be nice! Hoping my BluRay ships soon-ish so it lands on or around the actual release date but depends where it's coming from as I'm in the States..
  18. been locked out of the dang forum for the last 9-10 months, guess the 101th time trying logging in was the charm! been reading instead of posting in this topic - now I can add thoughts: I ended up buying the Atmos/5.1 BluRay of this (https://superdeluxeedition.com/news/new-orbital-single-from-the-forthcoming-album-optical-delusion/) which I think is now sold out, anyway it'll be nice to hear it this way, this is the 1st time buying an album on bluray - has the bonus tracks and the instrumentals, nice. Also this might be my Fav album artwork from Orbital yet, would not mind having a nice print of this, I may have to message John Greenwood about this. Not gonna listen to Are You Alive? as I wanna have the rest a surprise, liked the Ringa track OK, and think Dirty Rat is pretty fun actually - was hoping for a lot more bonus tracks than 3, last time we got like 8 or something off Monsters..
  19. Drift series is awesome and loved it BUT I do miss the album cycle from these guys, just a 50/60 min 11 track album with a few bangers, just hope they don't do away with the traditional release completely..
  20. Yes, honestly, and maybe I'm wrong, but after watching it you do feel Alex does more than most people on here think and say he does (or doesn't do ha) - He would be making a few sounds on the tables and Thomas would be editing at the computer and say "Alex, I really like what you just did there, do it again" and then they would colab further and get more progress done - Thomas talked about how Alex does certain things Live and he sticks to certain methods and ways when they do a Live Set together. He said he likes doing Orb sets Live w/ Alex and loves the tours but making new albums is what he rather do.. I do hope they make albums together again as I guess they haven't made one together in some years now - thanks for the info an that 2DVD set, I really wanna find a copy or find it digitally online somewhere - so yea, now theres a Book on The Orb, and a Doc.
  21. I believe I either went here (https://www.lunarorbitfilm.com/contact) or went to the FB and messaged him there and I bought a copy, took weeks because I'm in the states & xmas just backed it up but def a fun watch. Gonna listen to some 1997/2000 era Orb tonight, yeeee
  22. Just watched the LUNAR ORBIT Doc about the making of this album and a brief history on the Orb, good lil flick. Was fun watching them make the album - would have loved to have seen more of that bit. So I never did receive my copy of the Further Adventures Beyond Dark Matter dvd - is it just a Video of them at the gig doing the show w/ the visuals behind them or is it just a video of just the visuals? Always wanted it - anyone have a digital copy of that they'd share? All these years later and I wouldn't mind having it. Wonder if we'll get a new LP in 2022 and wonder if him and Fehlmann will do another album together..
  23. movie came out 5 years ago but never saw anything about the score/soundtrack coming out...the trailer you can hear a Plaid track and from what I read this was some really cool music played during the film - strange it's unavailable. I should email Ed or Andy and ask..I'd love to hear this..
  24. looking forward to mean friend vol 1 and vol 2! Wanna hear that Tel Aviv remix..
