  1. I certainly grew up with Lego. My brother and I often built all kinds of bases, aircraft, spaceships, and even submarines with Lego sets when we were kids. I still have a plastic tub full of those pieces stored away, maybe two. The possibilities are still infinite with what you can build out of them.
  2. So that's the guy who worked on the album cover for The Kphanaptic Fragments. Great summer album, especially the first track in the evenings.
  3. Katsuhiro Otomo Tatsuyuki Tanaka (Cannabis Works) H.R. Giger Viktor Antonov (art director for Half-Life 2, also worked on Dishonored) The Designers Republic that Delta Inc stuff Yek posted is legit too
  4. [youtubehd]kKv_eZwJh34[/youtubehd] Had some weird dreams this morning, somehow this seemed fitting after the fact
  5. Stupid screaming kids in the grocery store. That's probably why they end up becoming assholes when they grow up because their lazy dipshit parents don't discipline them enough and remind them all they have to be thankful for, and that they're not growing up somewhere rife with human rights violations like Central African Republic or Syria. Little cunts.
  6. Tried to make a type of onigiri out of canned salmon but it ended up looking like ass splat. Tasted OK though.
  7. Are we not entitled to discuss things that are legitimately bothering us tho?
  8. Killed a mosquito without realizing it. When I opened up my laptop I found the smooshed little fucker on the touch pad. Wonder if there's a way to train my laptop to snap mosquitoes into its jaws, like a Venus fly trap.
  9. I wouldn't neglect that bladder if I were you Zephyr. Four years ago I had a coworker (who's now my boss) end up going to the ER because he was unable to urinate. Damn near killed him from what it sounded like.
  10. Just completed Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (prequel to The New Order). Pretty solid overall, but fairly short. It's kind of a throwback to the 2001 RtCW in terms of story, and even has a hidden classic Wolf 3D "Nightmare" level in each chapter. The characters have realistic dialogue as well - no wooden "actors" here. Anyway, for those of you Steam users interested in Capcom titles I think they still have a big sale going on right now.
  11. Been sick the past few days. This cold is getting old. Maybe I'll get bold and steal some gold. But from what I'm told, it can be found naturally here, so I can dodge the scold. Watch out for mold - vigilance is twofold.
  12. I've already bought some frozen chicken dinners yesterday though, which I now feel guilty about after watching those clips. But I'm starting to consider meatless sources of protein for down the road, in case I do choose the vegan path. I already know beans and tofu have protein. Nuts and mushrooms do too, I think.
  13. Just watched several videos of animal cruelty in the food industry, particularly hidden footage of chicken slaughterhouses and mother pigs confined to gestation crates. Won't go into graphic detail though. But what gets me is how many of these workers inflict unnecessary abuse on these animals, not to mention the filthy, unsanitary conditions. Not sure whether going vegan would make much difference though. All part of the wider dilemma of this world I reckon - as a rhetorical question, is it better to be blind, ignorant, and happy...or to always be privy to the truth, no matter how horrific? (sorta like Blue Pill vs Red Pill I 'spose)
  14. Lunar's last official status update was two months ago. Basically they're saying progress is going well and they're past the prototype phase. I think it's every four or five months they post their progress reports. I think they've been working on Routine for four years now as a dev team of only three members. But I think they're taking the right approach overall by taking their time to do their best possible job. I guess there was a rumour a couple days ago that there'd be an E3 demo on FO4 this year, but...emphasis on 'rumour'
  15. Still waiting for Eidos Montreal & Lunar Software to announce release dates. DX: Mankind Divided pls. Routine pls.
  16. Is FC4 good? I've been wondering about it, but I've heard mixed reviews. That's the only game in the series I haven't yet played..It's good if you can accept that it's pretty much just a polished and refined Far Cry 3. Taking over outposts is a lot more interesting this time around though because of all the toys they give you (i.e. helicopters and elephants). And the world itself is a lot more fun to traverse because of the verticality of it all. I like it. Sounds tempting, but I gotta spend my scratch wisely. Still think FC3: Blood Dragon is the best in the series - not just for the gameplay but also the retro-future aesthetics and kookiness of it all. It's like a 1980s wet dream.
  17. Is FC4 good? I've been wondering about it, but I've heard mixed reviews. That's the only game in the series I haven't yet played. I might buy the new Wolfenstein: the Old Blood (prequel to tNO) this weekend, since ratings look promising for that one. And if I get tired of shooters I'll either try Wasteland 2 again or XCOM: Enemy Within on Long War mode. But I'm just rambling.
  18. Why hand write? Seems like an odd requirement in the 21st Century.
  19. Damn FB...I've been deactivating my acct at least once a year, but I just can't bring myself to six it completely. Very rarely have I got any reason to post status updates, but at the same time it's the best option I have in keeping in touch with everyone in life. As for Twitter, mine got hacked about three months ago and I changed my password afterwards, but otherwise I never touch it lol That was the case with my old man over three years ago. I've still never gotten around to Season 5 yet tho.
  20. It's OK, happens all the time Another FWS: The mayoral candidate I voted for won in our local municipal election yesterday. Not surprisingly, the whinging fallout from the opposing butthurt GOP/Teabagger camp has followed. Crybabies.
