It reminds me a bit of some of those iDoser things, binaural beats. I wonder if the rhythm of the pulses in your ears has any sort of physiological effect, because I definitely zone way out if I listen to it on headphones. I get the same type of effect with Drane as well. So it's not just me then. Sounds like we're on the same page. It's just tricky to accurately describe the sensation.

Perlence Losid 2 is my top pick. Not sure what it is about it, but it feels like a heightened meditative state for me, like some kind of neutral void. Almost a Buddhist appeal. Not sure if that even makes sense. I'd love to listen to it again on a rainy July day.

Yeah, on SShock 2 I would focus on spending your cyber modules on the Tech discipline more than any other, because there are a lot of secure doors and storage crates you're gonna wanna hack into. As for weapons, I'd only bother leveling up Standard guns, cos the Assault Rifle is king - everything else beyond that except for the Grenade Launcher and Crystal Shard are pretty much crap. This has been my exact plight for some time now. It's probably been the very reason I haven't devoted more time to making tunes, working out, socializing, finding a better job, etc.

Weird, I started listening to the new Lamar this morning too, and I'm not finished either. And it's hard to focus straight and remember shit when there's so much other shit to do. Happens to the best of us.

I like both the first and second game, but the DLCs of both are rather lackluster. I'll admit the second one feels easier though - probably because armor and supplies are more abundant or they reduced the damage you take from gunfire or something. The 2009 one? That's the only one I've never played, but it didn't look that interesting anyway. TNO was legit tho.

Finished F.E.A.R. last night, then immediately jumped to the sequel, Project Origin. Six years later it still looks damn good. Had to fight off that fucked-up reanimated dead principal at the elementary school who was reanimating dead ATC mercs. But nothing in that game tops piloting the Elite Powered Armor. If we were to eventually have hulking military exosuits, stomping around in one in this game feels about as realistic as it gets.
