  1. The fact that I've had at least three login attempts from unknown parties to my Epic account last year might have something to do with it (before I uninstalled the game launcher). Never had that problem with Steam, which I've used since its debut in 2001.
  2. That neatly describes the difference between conservatives such as trump and centrists such as biden. Biden smells women. Trump 'grabs' them. Both are sexual harassment, but one is a kind of half measure and the other is all the way. If you ask me, Bernie and Tulsi are the only candidates worth voting for next year. And frankly I wish they'd just merge to the same ticket. Obviously the corporate news outlets don't want to acknowledge their existence, which is telling.
  3. Meh. I don't put much faith in status quo neoliberals. But we've gone over this debate before. At this point what I really want to see happen is McConnell get voted out, perhaps even more so than Trump. I can't adequately express how much I want to strangle him, with all the bullshit he's pulled in the Senate for the last six years.
  4. Borderlands 3 went Epic timed exclusive. No surprise really. But at least it's for 6 months and not a full year. Fucking Epic. They're riding their success from Fortnite last year and now they're full-on Napoleonic, despite having a subpar, spyware-ridden game launcher. And yes, I've had an Epic account and a questionable experience with them. Time to up developers' revenue on Steam to 90 percent, Gaben.
  5. Ashima the Train (the female version of Thomas from India) is hott
  6. spanish speaking = mexican for a lot of white people. but it's a regional thing. miami and NYC obviously i's going to be different than north carolina and somewhere middle america. I'm grateful i grew up in miami for so many reasons. there's a lot of places in america where people born, raised, die in the same town their whole lives. never leave. have no idea what other people in the world or even in their own state/country are like. it's weird. Man, I couldn't even imagine a life like that, not knowing what the world is like outside of your hometown. But this is coming from somebody who grew up in five different states and lived briefly in a non-English-speaking country. Of course the downside to that is difficulty in maintaining lasting friendships, mainly because of having to move so frequently.
  7. TBH I liked it better than the sequel The New Colossus. Maybe it's because it felt more polished and coherent story-wise. Also Viktor Antonov (who played a key role in HL2's development) was involved in the work on The New Order as well, if I'm not mistaken. Never played the 2009 one though.
  8. Looks like I "beat" Risk of Rain 2. Reached max difficulty and the amount of enemies, both large and small, was so overwhelming to the point of comical absurdity. But somehow I managed to plow through. But given it's early access I'm sure loads of more content is in the pipeline. In the meantime, I still have the other three player characters to unlock.
  9. I think it's safe to pronounce the dank memes thread deceased
  10. ^ Jack Dangers would be all over that. Speaking of whom, there appears to be a dude about halfway into this EBN (Dangers' side project) vid using that talk box
  11. I think I tested a banana peel on linoleum tile when I was a teen as a small, very simple controlled experiment. I just pressed down on it with one foot just to see how slippery it was. Turns out it was slippery.
  12. ^ I played that on Android for a while. But never could get beyond the first Aquifer stage. Still addictive tho
  13. So now the guy is calling the Mueller investigation "treason" and demands that the southern border be shut down. He's either off his meds, senile, not getting any bed action from Melania, or all three.
  14. Risk of Rain 2 just dropped out of nowhere. Well, sort of. I knew it was in development, but probably forgot about it. But anyway, it's available now (in early access) I just put my first hour into it and I can see why it's been getting Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam. You're constantly on your toes, running around, fighting the never-ending onslaught of hostile locals, all while looting chests, recruiting companion drones, and acquiring power-ups along the way. What's not to like. And it's rogue-like just like the first game. I think the maps are all procedurally generated as well. Because every time I started a new playthrough it was different. Blablabla. Point is, Hopoo basically took their first RoR game from 2013 and infused it with a third dimension. And the result is beautiful. Certainly twenty bucks I don't regret spending.
  15. heh As long as we all don't collectively kill the planet, that's all I care at this point
  16. Yeah, there's the Q2VKPT build that the researcher has been working on, and then there's the build that is based on that which Nvidia have also been working on and adding more stuff to — I think this is the one that most people are seeing at the moment. This is the one that I am looking forward to playing with. The Q2VKPT build is alright, but the Nvidia one is much more impressive. With regard to the Epic Games Store debacle, I'm most definitely not buying anything on that shite, and it's really disappointing that Control is going to be a year long exclusive on there...I was really looking forward to that. It's okay though in the long run, because if I can wait a year to play the game, it means I can also wait for the sale so I won't even be paying full price for it. Fuck you Epic Games. They snatched up Control also? That's what I was afraid of. Bastards.. Half of the games I was looking forward to this year, my anticipation fell through for, all because of Epic. But at least Bethesda are on our side. Oh, and Ion Maiden should be finished soon.
  17. Whew...I expected it to be something more sinister. But it ended up being more like one of those 2009 FailBlog clips
  18. ^ I saw a brief gameplay demo of that. What stood out the most for me was the reflection of the glass, which was graphically up to par with today's standards. Some good news for the game industry; Bethesda are bringing their upcoming titles such as Rage 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and Doom Eternal to Steam, and Fallout 76 later on: https://thenextweb.com/gaming/2019/03/26/bethesdas-games-steam-epic-conflict/ I think this is a smart PR move on their part, given how brazen Epic are this year in expanding their business empire, even though their game launcher is objectively inferior to Steam and is technically spyware. So this is a big, much needed middle finger to Epic. Plus Bethesda can use this opportunity to redeem themselves after the Fallout 76...um...fallout.
  19. won't matter though. orange man will keep on doing whatever he wants and the 'publican brotherhood will continue to be too scared of him to take him down. Ruskies are gonna fuck with the 2020 election and we're gonna get this thread to 2000+ pages before it's all over with... That makes me wonder, if Trump gets another term, then will this thread become the longest continually bumped thread in watmm history? Probably going to last 8-10 years. Don't forget the Stupid FWP thread, which has already had an 8-year run now. But one could argue that there's overlap between the two..
