Just listened to the Radical mix and it is fucking amazing, some of the best hip hop I've heard in ages. Can't believe these kids are in high school, tons of talent and super raw. Gonna check out the solo efforts from Tyler and Earl, definitely the most talented of the bunch.

I made a mix of 80s coldwave/minimal wave a couple months back if anyone's interested. Some of the tunes from this thread are in it.

Very cool album, much better than the EP in my opinion, which I wasn't that into. Pretty original stuff, very glitchy at times but there's enough interesting ideas to hold it all together. And I love all the half remembered movie samples. Just finished my first listen, excited to give it another play later now that I'm more familiar.

is it c/o fred fuchs? b/c that's mine dude.
Angry Video Game Nerd fan I see?

Don't know much of his stuff but his set during the Flying Lotus 420 broadcast was def my favorite, followed by Toki. Excited that they both have upcoming releases.
-
Didn't really like the EP but judging by the sample track and cool references I'm down to give this another shot.

Unlike vampires and werewolves however, zombies have always been cool for those in the know. Zombies can't feel any emotion or remorse in almost every adaptation, so there's very few ways in can turn out like Twilight.
don't mean to be a nitpicker but i was very interested in this series until i found out it was based on a comic book that starts off with a total rip of 28 days later ie: guy wakes up in a hospital doesnt know whats going on, zombie apocalypse already started without him. i wish people just made new original stuff these days instead of comic adaptations.
I'm pretty sure the comic was written before 28 Days Later.
well 28 days later came out a year before walking dead.
Did it? I knew they were right around the same time but I thought it was the other way around. Oh well, that's a very small part of the comic and plus, so many zombie movies pay homage to those before them. It won't keep me from enjoying this.

My sentiments exactly.

Not sure if it counts as a score or a soundtrack but one of my all time faves is Suspiria by Goblin.
Just got into Goblin myself, so awesome.

VVV's The Projects EP is pretty good.

Yeah, I like this one as well. I think this is more garage than dubstep, but whatever, it's good music.

I don't think I'll ever fully enjoy this or Draft. Good moments in all of these songs (I love the video regardless) but they just get bogged down and excessively messy for me. It's not that I can't follow the beat, I just hate the timbre. Fermium and Ipacial would later fall into this category. I love almost Autechre's catalog but the period in between Confield and Untilted was just not for me. Funny because many here regard it as their favorite. Although ISS:SA is one of my favorite EPs and falls in this period. A lot of people say Confield is their most difficult but it sounds so much more coherent to me than Draft or Gantz.

Somebody called Zelah, we need a slow amen break!

That Toro Y Moi album is pretty good but I haven't heard much of the rest. I don't even see how this is a new genre really, chillwave is a suitably retarded genre name though.
-
Not only my favorite ae album but probably my favorite album ever. The timbre is amazing and it's one of their grooviest albums ever. It is the most visual album I've ever heard, bringing to mind abandoned factories with clunky machines still running but slowly breaking down. For some reason I always think of the outside levels in Doom II when I hear this.
-
actually i've always wanted to get an ep7 tattoo...
I thought about this too but went with draft instead, same design as on the shirt
-
I'll wear any old thing so I am not the best judge but I think shirt from Cafe Press are comfy. I have about 10 which I wear regularly.
-
Cool I've been busy lately but I would love a Chiastic or EP7 shirt so I'll try to get one of those going in the near future.

I was disappointed with that F album to be honest, dunno why but I expected more. It all sounds very samey to me. I like Spacewalker a lot though.

Just finished MellowHype and while not as good as the other two it has some stellar tracks like Chordaroy. Listening to Rolling Papers now and it's pretty amazing as well. Their ratio of hits to misses is pretty stunning given how prolific they are. I am a fan.
