  1. Wow, I forgot about those. I still have some of them on an old hard drive, there was that crazy cover of Rae someone did only using samples of their voice.
  2. Airdrawndagger is super underappreciated. Sasha was one of those mainstream trance producers that could actually back it up with dope tracks.

What a nice surprise, tracks 3-5 are bangers
  4. Omg, died laughing at this
  5. I'll take what I can get at this point. Ade pls.
  6. Also love this one. I know this album isn't usually a favorite but there are some gems on here.
  7. Whoh oh, oh This disport is so augmatic (AUGMATIC) It is like a kind of magic (MAGIC) And baby when you dance I can see a bowl of crisps in your eyes (EYES)
  8. Oh man, where the hell do I find the track at 8:45? Apparently "Principles of Geometry - Loom Letter" but I can't find any other mention of it. Aping BOC for sure but it does it well.
  9. Enjoying this one, super clean production, especially like the 5th track. Here are a few I loved from back in the day. Machinedrum - Room(s) DJ Rashad - Double Cup Patrice & Friends - Champagne Songs
  10. Streaming mostly beatless ambient, synth, and IDM stuff for 10 hours today while I'm stuck inside due to snow, below freezing temperatures, and Covid. Got lots of old mixes lined up with a new one "Pure Moods V" at 9pm Eastern (GMT -5). Tune in if you're also hanging inside today. https://www.twitch.tv/smashtvmusic

Maybe their tightest release, one of my favorite pieces of music ever, a classic. Laughing Quarter and Draun Quarter are two of their best. Love the reedy synths they were using in this stage of their career.
  13. Oh wow, I haven't thought of Duckular in years, would love to hear those old tracks again too if anyone has them saved.
  14. Tim Reaper was my favorite new discovery this year. Really carrying the torch for old school jungle, seconding this!

  16. I grew up in a small town in upstate NY and was def a Phish head in my teens. I never really thought it about the comparison but this is a great point. Both complex, rewarding music (for me at least, prob not a ton of Autechre/Phish crossover here), awesome live shows, and most people can't stand either.
  17. Chiastic Slide has been my "white whale" album for many years, I always hope to find an affordable copy in second hand shops. Very excited to finally cop this on vinyl!
  18. Yeah anyone talking shit about Katz's has never been to Katz's, a NY institution
  19. Damn, nice sample spotting! Who knew Ade was such a big Tim Noah fan
  20. Lol I have no memory of making that thread but god damn do I want a Kurt Russell sandwich now.
  21. If you like his rnb/melodic side, Flower Boy is my favorite solo album of his. Felt like he really matured on that album, both in terms of the lyrical content and his production. I gotta get more listens in but so far I like this new one a lot too.
  22. This sounds more up my alley than most of the stuff he released in the past year. But at this point, given how absurdly prolific he's been...is he ok? lol
