  1. This is his best one Yeah, an actual accordion would have been much cheaper. (It wouldn't have sounded as good on Returnal, though.) lol well weren't many users of synths and keyboards with presets session and live band performers? like, the appeal being they could play a lot of different sounds and "instruments" with one piece of equipment. I think that was his dad's mentality, especially if he wanted to play accordion parts of songs without actually learning how to play an accordion - which is a tricky instrument to play and learn man im probably looking way too much into it ITT we analyze Daniel Lopatin's father's psychology and career to determine why he decided to get a Juno.
  2. I agree with that, though. Twitter memes like this one are especially horrible. Yeah, an actual accordion would have been much cheaper. (It wouldn't have sounded as good on Returnal, though.)
  3. His parents are from Russia (USSR technically), he's from Boston. Yeah in fact I think the Juno he uses is the one his dad bought for his use as a professional musician in the USSR He said that his father only used the Juno to emulate accordions. I think that's amusing; such an expensive and flexible synth used for something so simple. I'm fairly certain that it was purchased in the US, though. I really don't think Roland synths would have been available in the USSR.
  4. I've never understood why people voluntarily watch ASMR videos. It seems like a pretty effective mental torture device. It's extremely irritating watching people take 45 minutes to do something that could easily be done in about one minute. Whenever I watch them and read the things people say about the video, I just get that feeling that this is what the decay of humanity looks like. It's like people have gotten so bored with their lives that they're just zoning out and finding ways to trigger chemical reactions to the most mundane things.
  5. Flapjack is the best. I don't know how it got away with being so good and still not being the most successful show on Cartoon Network. It's infinitely better than most of the shit that passes for television.
  6. Man, that old guy who looks like a kid cracks me up every single time.
  7. I noticed that The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack got put on Hulu, so I've been revisiting that good old show. I don't know how I forgot how god damn funny that show is. It's still surprising to me how much the writers of that show got away with. It's dark as hell for Cartoon Network.
  8. NWW is fruit (a sucked on orange), for vegetables & roughage try some steamed Hafler Trio NWW provides plenty of protein as well, as a sugar fish drink, though it is also high in sodium. I think Coil is an adequate substitute for vegetables, especially broccoli.
  9. A lot of Nurse With Wound. It's an important part of a balanced diet.
  10. I doubt that the account is actually owned by Daniel, since none of his other accounts are following it. That's a pretty good sign that it's just something made by a guy who wants to fool people.
  11. I'm kind of upset that I have to wait three more months for this album, considering that it was announced a long time ago already. I have a bad feeling that it will turn out to be OPN's Yeezus, though.
  12. Don't know. I guess it's all made up by Lopatin himself. Ezra, Flow Kranium, and Kaoss Edge both have a twitter account started on august 2nd or 3rd, with similarities between the tweets and the interview (Ezra being an alien with acne, Flow Kranium being dead on cryo etc). It's quite an impressive job on the album's background (or is it just album background ?). Wow, Flow Kranium retweeted a Devin Townsend tweet about Ziltoid. I didn't expect Daniel Lopatin to follow Devy, but it's a pleasant surprise.
  13. Music and writing have gotten too stressful for me, so I'd like to start woodworking to take the edge off of those other two. I like the idea of having to invest a lot of time slowly working at every project. It seems like a very relaxing art form, and it's a good excuse to get out of the house and spend time in nature, with myself and the trees.
  14. I want to start carving wood to entertain myself on slow days, but I also don't necessarily want to invest $17 in a good carving knife, because money is something that I'm low on at the moment. Also, I want to travel to Peru anytime in the future through any method other than flying because flying skips the entire fun part of traveling and replaces it with a horrible experience that isn't the least bit pleasant. I know someone who hitch hiked pretty successfully across the country and back, so that's looking like my only option. I'd like to visit a new continent that I've never seen before, and South America is both interesting and somewhat close, and I also have relatives in Peru, so that makes it even more exciting.
  15. I learned that when someone mentions alcohol, this forum goes crazy.
  16. Also I have a lot of poems that I would love to turn into song lyrics, except that I just can't figure out a way to get my poems and my music to go together. I've only managed to write one song that actually works for one of them (and one shitty song for a poem by William Cowper), but the rest seem impossible.
  17. RIP Drillkicker That spider may have taken a big chunk of me, but I'm not dead yet!
