Every basic bitch I encounter on dating sites atm, the ones who state they 'love to laugh', go on about TRAVEL etc have Nils Frahm in their music likes.

I have never listened to him but I bet I know what it sounds like.

Um a “basic bitch” liking Nils Frahm is not too basic.

Yeah I dunno a gal liking the same guy who is in Nonkeen would be an anti-red flag imo

I'm really curious about seeing everyone's basic bitch standards here. She said she loved RDJ but doesn't even know which Universal Indicator album he did.

i thought universal indicator was brainwaltzera

3 lunkheads working as hotel maids but (secretly) working on a video game find themselves in the middle of a hostage situation a la 'die hard' when some instagram celebrity is held for ransom. there's something to be said about the quality of this movie (?) because i honestly thought it was part of an SNL type skit but turns out it was a feature. there are some genuinely funny moments but it's netflix so it's also very disposable. NEXT

i can't seem to be amused by these guys, even workaholics i couldn't stand...

"some instagram celebrity" it's mother fucking shaggy motherfucker

i didn't watch the movie but the annoying trailer autoplayed while scrolling through netflix (can you turn that shit off?)

  3. Picked up the talos principle... and I'm loving it it's a beautiful game... It's like I'm a land surveyor for some life engineer or something ... I will fall short in articulating just what I feel when I play it but for a puzzle game so far so good :)

i got maybe 2/3rds of the way through talos. yeah it was really fun but a lot of the puzzles are really easy at first and then there seemed to be a pretty significant jump. then i just put it aside after getting stuck for a little bit on a couple of different puzzles. usually i come back to things like this after 6mos or a year and end up blazing through the end (looking at you antichamber).

i should finish it tho yo

  4.

Yeah. I played a handful of games and at no point found myself enjoying it. At least it looks like it's doing something kinda different though.

is it? how's it different from other last-man-standing shooters?

have a friend w/no pc that plays fortnite on ps4, and a friend who i regularly play pubg with.

played about 40 minutes of fortnite w/former last nite. best game we made top 4 but never felt any tension/excitement. immediately jumped on pub w/latter friend after he got home and within second of the first drop had a super tense standoff w/another duo (that we won).

this weekend was final round so i played alot of tekken this weekend. there was a pre tournament on thursday where i went 4-2. at final round i went 2-2 (long standing pr at this point). went to watch tekken finals on sunday. pretty hype. usa has closed the gap on korea significantly in the <1 yr since the game came out. lil majin is such a sick king player

  5. moon was great other than knowing the ending from watching the trailer. looper was pretty fun. primer was really good despite the horrible acting. his other one was pretty good too, upstream color? a much better nonsense movie than annihilation huehue

If one thing has truly evolved in the last three years...it's dank memes

how did you find this video

Wow, this really is blowing up! Thanks guys! It really means a lot to me! Honestly, I didn't think it would get anywhere near the amount of views that it has. Thank you all!

under the skin was 10x better than this and 10x more subtle.

    you just fucked up

Again I’m with juice. Didn’t even like UTS that much but it was fucking miles past Annihilation in terms of quality and just plain enjoying the film. Anni was just bad, with little redeeming qualities for me to understand how it has any fans. Art sure is subjective, my dudes.

yeah i don't get it. didn't feel "instilled with dread."

just annoyed with the characters and bad production. that whole "we have two working theories" bit... seriously? these people are supposed to be smart? it was like watching scientists walk up to the eggs in prometheus too look inside. the bear thing lol

this track is hella dank tho

i didn't love under the skin or anything but i definitely enjoyed it and would watch it again

  8. the music during the alien thing was really good but that was in the trailer. you know about as much about the movie watching the trailer as you do watching the two hour movie.

i thought they did a good job with what they had. it would have worked better as a mini series adapting all three books. i don't think it was hard to understand at all, in fact it's significantly easier to comprehend than the book. i don't really understand this obsession with plot and story as the end all in movies. annihilation was more about instilling a sense of dread. if it didn't work for you that's fine, but it was far from awful.

    Intelligent art is typically divisive

    ,,,oh jeeze...

exactly, if you want a good story, read a book... it's not by chance that it's called moving pictures... hating movies because they don't have a story is the same as hating books because they don't have pictures...

    no

if you want to read a good story you read a good book. not just any book. if you want to watch a movie with a good story you watch a good movie. if you're watching "moving pictures" with no story you're just watching visual art

under the skin was 10x better than this and 10x more subtle.

sorry but it wasn't just a bad story, it was bad acting, and bad visuals. there's not much else to a movie. it's not like the worst thing i've ever seen but i wouldn't watch it again and i wouldn't recommend it to anybody

    Annihilation

I haven’t seen anything as visually stunning as this movie’s climax since the star gate sequence from 2001. Holy shit. Too bad the studio ripped it away from all international theaters except US and China. Very heady stuff, can’t stop thinking about it. 10/10

lol what? this movie was awful. bad cg, bad acting and totally incoherent non story

black panther was typical boring marvel stuff with bad african accents.

If there was no story how could it be incoherent?

i googled a plot analysis after seeing it to see if anyone had any idea what was going on or if they just didn't finish making the movie. couldn't find anything coherent just a bunch of half baked theories of what people thought various things in the movie could've maybe meant maybe

checked rt and saw mostly positive reviews but of the negative ones i think this guy basically nailed it:

"Making movies steeped in vagueness these days is proving to be an excellent way to earn critical praise, but being artfully ambiguous strikes me as a way to cover for not being able to finish the job."

and it was a visual mess probably because it was done with no budget and tried to mask it with heavy handed soft focus and lens flare

Vita's are cheap now, anyone had one, any good?

Where are they cheap? I honestly haven't seen one (new or used) in some time!

it's a great system with not nearly enough good games crippled by an obscenely expensive proprietary memory card. great for 2d indies and ps1 classics

it also still has a pretty active hacking scene so that's worth looking into

  12.

Thor Ragnarok - pretty hilarious. I loved how it didn’t take itself serious at all. I mean, it’s still a Marvel movie but at least this one tried something new

yikes. i thought it was awful and pretty obvious that they were shoehorning what they believed made guardians of the galaxy "good" into the thor universe because the other ones were inexcusably boring

Maybe I was just tired or something. I'm not saying it's a good movie or anything, but it's one of the better Marvel movies...

To be honest though, I stopped paying attention during the last 30 minutes or so when the action got going.

i probably shouldn't talk i fell asleep several times. woke up and saw the final blow being delivered to some mythical something or something. was just glad to go home

survive style 5+ however fucking rules in every way

i haven't seen ss5 in a long time. need to buy it somewhere. i remember seeing it recommended by speedranch on the old mu forum x_x

was hoping to see black panther today but apparently it's still too busy to get passes so i'll have to wait until next week. felt bad for my cohorts. heard lots of equipment malfunctions over the weekend. were the busiest theatre in the country by over $100k, set the all time attendance record for the theatre *and* made national news when they started 50 shades instead of black panther in one auditorium x_x https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/theater-plays-fifty-shades-instead-of-black-panther_us_5a86e871e4b05c2bcaca08a5

very glad that's all behind me

three billboards was astonishingly stupid. god i'm getting frustrated thinking about. every character is remarkably unlikable. completely uneven tone since they tried to make this some kind of black comedy? except all the jokes were telegraphed and awful. nothing in this movie was remotely believable. everything was stupid.

Three Billboards - it deals with the subject of grief intermittently well, Rockwell's arc was decent, but then it meandered all over the gaff. W/out Frances whatsherface, it would've sunk more quickly. John Wyles is usually well cast & shines in most things seen so far with him in, but he barely gets a look in. 6.5/10

no. it's way worse than this.

saw this just now and i agree. i really don't get the point of this kind of film-making/script-writing, mixing rape-burn-murder-abusive-husbands with the kind of constant wisecrackery of the latest thor film (is this how mcdonagh imagines people dealing with grief?) and heap of cheap contrivances to produce irony. felt kinda like fargo reenvisioned by an idiot with no taste and no inspiration.

    lol

yeah. totally infuriating to sit through

the fact that they're trying to push rockwell for some kind of oscar is hilarious. i feel like if you went up to some complete rando on the street and said "do your best impression of a drunk racist" you'd get something 10x as good as his drivel

  16. Going to have half of my thyroid removed in a few weeks (preemptive move against what is most likely cancer). I will have an excellent team of people doing it and I have very good insurance, but even with all of that in place I'm still worried and not really looking forward to the recovery time and whatever the bill ends up being.

    fuckin' hell man.

    take care

  17. Formula Fusion: EMLLJ-BP8DJ-YYK0W redeem on STEAM

    https://www.formulafusiongame.com

Backstory.  This is a game from some of the the original Wipeout team and the shut down Studio Liverpool (modern Wipeout devs).  This is the "real" successor to Wipeout I suppose.  Designers Republic are also behind most, (if not all?) of the look and design.  Really good game, not perfect.  Not a surprise that there a some minor issues considering the size of the team and the lack of a publisher.  Just redeem it on Steam, "games" tab, "activate product on steam"

Please reply verifying you got it.

    bye.

maybe ask who wants it and then message them. also the rules should be read incessantly every day, every hour, ad infinitum.

I think this will work, as long as the bottom of the message isn't missed.  I have the rules refreshed and read to me through text to speech every hour, starting now.

i early accessed this and really wanted to like it but it just feels really half assed even at this stage. it's just not nearly as refined as the newer wipeouts or even the new competitors like redout or fast racing neo.
